I have always just drank Jim Beam with sprite or coke but I have to lose a few pounds and I sure as hell dont want to stop drinking so I am looking for a good sippin whiskey that I dont have to kill the sting with coke or sprite.

There's tons of options and prices. I'd say the best bang for your buck would be Woodford Reserve. My favorite would probably have to be Blanton's.

For the price, I actually really enjoy the Jim Beam Black. I caught it on sale at Walgreens a few weeks back and bought 3 bottles for $15 per. Has a lot more depth than the regular Jim Beam.

Whiskey =/= Bourbon

Jim is bourbon, as is Woodford.

If you're asking what is the best bourbon to drink with a few ice cubes, then I'd go Basil Hayden's, Buffalo Trace, or Maker's 46

I second that. I also think Old Charter is good for the price.

I drink Makers and water. It's a low-cal delight.

Only reason I drink it with water is because I'd get uber shitfaced if I didn't.

Rittenhouse Rye & Makers.
And at this time of year throwin' in a lil chilled ginger beer with it is da bomb.
