He is in the 4th year of his 5 year contract and is currently pitching in AA with a 3.23 ERA.

Ouch. Not that ERA is that bad, but still in AA after 4 years?

Why is it the avi that's disgusting and offensive and not the cheerleader that actually performed the act?

Nothing wrong with those numbers.

He's 22 or 23, and showing improvement. Barring injury, he has a lot of baseball left.

That's really not bad at all. Gotta remember, he was just 18 going into pro ball. People often start in Rookie League and work their way up from there, not sure if that's the case with him though. So logical progression means that AA ball at age 22 or 23 really is actually pretty good. And with a 3.23 ERA, nonetheless. Bottom line, being in AA at age 23 and pitching (seemingly) pretty well is in no way an indicator that his days in baseball may be dwindling.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. 4 years and I immediately thought 25-26 even though I know he came straight out of high school.

AA after 4 years is awesome. The next step from there is MLB. AAA isn't for new players. It's usually players being sent down, not getting called up.

But above all that. He was a good high school QB. Almost every QB we have had since then and several before we're higher rated. LSU was really bad with Jefferson so people wanted to believe he was some savior of the program. But in reality he was as equal to Jarrett Lee or any other QB we have signed in recent years. So lets drop it and focus on the people who actually play here.

It would have to be at the NFL level. He enrolled at LSU the summer before he signed that contract. That started his 5 year clock.

If he doesn't make it in MLB, he will be out of sports.

Lee was the Dodgers first round pick in the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft and will be 22 years old in August. He has pitched at every level of the Dodgers minor league system except in the thin air of Triple-A Albuquerque, where the Dodgers (wisely) do not send their best pitching prospects.

I knew he worked out with the team, but did he actually enroll and show up at a class? I believe your clock is not started if you enroll, but then drop out before taking any classes. Otherwise, you are correct. He would be done at the college level.
