It's been an incredible job with the injuries they've had on the mound and elsewhere including Judge
You can make the argument it might be time to move on from Judge
Get a huge return on the captain because it's proven he's not a playoff type player

He finally had a good post season last year. Hopefully he gets back in time to heat up and be 100% going into the playoffs.

If this is your requirements...
Espada wins Manager of the Year easily.
1. He actually has his team in 1st place (for today, anyway).
2. He's managed to take a much shittier starting rotation (than your Yankees) and manage it even when it has been mostly on the IL.
3. He's abused the mediocre bullpen to the point of needing to call up middle schoolers for help.
4. His lineup has consistently been full of Yordan Alvarez and some other guys that may, or may not, be working at Wendy's next year.
5. He may be borderline extra-chromosome-ish.

Pretty impressive, with Judge out he's had .31 fewer DONGS per game to work with.
