I've been to Roatan a few times. Not for diving but I'm told it's fantastic.

Spent at Anthony's Key and dove all week. It's good diving and they do have a shark dive you can do if you are interested in that. There are also dolphins that are kept at a smaller island right off of the main island of the resort. Definitely do the dive "Spooky Channel" if you are decently experienced. Let me know if you have any questions. You couldn't beat the value of Anthony's Key when I went.

Don't be scared of the dock rooms with no AC. We went in March and it was warm during the day but was cold with the louvers open and fans running. The dock rooms have good water views and are convenient to get to the restaurant and dive shop/boats. If you stay in the higher end rooms on the "private key" you have to take a small boat over to the restaurant/ dive shop every time you need something. Plus, you have to worry about sand flys. That's not the case on the main island.

Bananarama is the dive shop/hotel right on West Bay Beach. I’ve heard good things about it and it puts you on the prettiest beach on the island with a bunch of restaurants within walking distance.

I haven’t heard good things about the treatment of the dolphins at Anthony’s Key from a local we’ve known for years so I can’t recommend it.

Iron Shore Grill on West Bay Beach is excellent though pricey and having lunch at Cal’s Temporary Cantina is a must. What Cal lacks in personality he makes up for in cooking chops. His food is unreal.

I went snorkeling. Look into "Little French Key" while there, amazing place surrounded totally by a reef, with a pet Jaguar you can chill with.

Ain't gonna lie, when that thing puts it's paws on you and you feel those claws press against your skin it's a little scary. Also while there the mokey's were throwing shite on these people from England, it was great.
