Quickbooks has several different plans including a low volume, no annual fee, I believe that it's 2.5% if swiped. It does not have to be connected to the online QB account, I believe that they market it under the name GoPayment

This past week the trout exploded all around the island, a lot of topwater and suspended bait action. And the way people are acting right now you should just about have the water to yourself.
re: Can I get advice/tips for my lawn after the winter? ::Updated with pics:::

Judging from the picture you posted and unless your yard rebounds nicely you are likely to have some bald spots come fall. If you don't mind cutting grass 12 months out of the year you may want to consider over seeding come fall with an annual ryegrass. It sure makes for a pretty yard.
I've been where you are and I just about have mine under control, it takes years. Because of the kids and the dogs I started over seeding in the fall with rye grass to keep them from tracking mud in during the winter. I make it a yearly practice now but my turf grass has gotten thick enough that the rye doesn't come up so thick.
You have to time you rye planting to the application of your pre emergent or it will not come up at all.

Just in conversation, the next time you talk to the adjuster, detail just some of the times they dropped the ball and use the term arbitrary and capricious, its the one term that insurance companies are afraid of.

Simply out of curiosity did any of you offer comments or suggestions as these regulations were being considered?

Rydlime which is the product that I used was a little cost prohibitive for me to purchase enough of it to us the garbage can method. Going the sump pump method, I got by with 2 gallons. It would be different if you gonna use it several times a year but for one and done, I didn't want to buy any more than I had to.

The best product that I have found is a product called Rydelime (sp). To do it correctly the process is a little involved but still a lot less than taking the heads apart.
Remove thermostats, remove lower unit. Get you like a #3 wash tube to place under the engine. But rydelime in wash tube, Use a bilge pump or other pump and appropriate size tube to pump Rydelime through the engine at the water pickup tube where the water pump attaches. Product will flow through the engine and fall back into the wash tube giving you a constant flow.
You will be surprised the amount of gunk this process removes from your water jackets.
You want to keep any electrical connections (extension cords) well away from any splatter of this product, it promotes conductivity and will light you up.

Kemo be very careful what you wish for, just look how that went down in the federal system. It spread to captain / crew and under Today's regs if your on your permitted charter boat, that restriction applies to you 24 / 7 even if its just you and some buddies.

I very rarely fish with and never fish 'for' my clients and yes under most circumstances I shut it down at their limit. There is a rare exception when maybe we lost count or they are coming in so fast that it may happen. I don't want to clean all those fish.
.
Under no circumstances do I want the goberment telling me that just because I buy exponentially more licenses that I then loose a privilege. Yes there are days when I have said, hey guys mind if we stay a little longer and catch me a few? Then I start fishing.

It's obvious that JBE's WLF is pushing this but this past Saturday Rispone was on the More Outdoors Show on 3WL out of New Orleans. The question was ...... Mr. Rispone what do you see as the most pressing issue facing the WLF department? Mr. Rispone opened with he could not believe that we were still at 25 on speckled trout, that we have not gone to 10 or 15 like the others around us.
.
Now later in the show he talked several times about he's been drinking from a firehose and would rely on experts that he placed in various positions but his initial response worries me as much as JBE's group.

I ran across an oyster boat on the water 2 days ago, Pedro and Santos were working the boat and sold me a whole sack for $25.00 . Some areas are hurting but there are still plenty around. Supply and demand. Can't believe they let the sack go for $25.00.

I bought the Warthog and don't use it any longer. At the time that I bought it their website was down with a statement that they had closed because of faulty materials. Tried to get in touch with the local supplier through his personal page figuring my stones were worn out - no response. Noticed lately that each side of my everyday carry seemed to have a different angle and a pronounced burr. I talked to the guys from backpacker (at a local show) and they told me that the springs wear causing one side to sharpen at an improper angle.
I just gave up on it and went back to my Lansky system. The Warthog was really quick when it worked but it sure messed up a good knife.

The proper term is Head and Neck Cancer. It is the fastest growing incident of cancer in the US. I am 2 years out from being treated for H/N cancer and I'm doing fine as we caught it early.
I have dipped in one form or fashion since I was a teenager. I have quit multiple times for things like Life Insurance drug screens, etc. Quitting is hard but possible.
My cancer was caused from HPV as are the vast majority of H/N cancers. My hematologist dips and using his words ........ 'There is zero scientific evidence that smokeless tobacco causes cancer. Gum disease, yes, cancer no'.
He implies that you will not hear many say this because the montra is to try to get you to quit any form of tobacco use.
The radiation killed my saliva glands, I am back to dipping now because it provides just enough stimulation to my saliva glads so that I do not constantly have dry mouth, as stated my doctor has no issues with it.

The wife has purchased several over the years they are all junk. They work great as long as you do not leave pressure in them. Had one that I used solely for washing the trucks, just the few minutes it was left with the nozzle closed while washing the truck was enough to make the coupling break loose. No more expandable hoses here.
re: Best bait for minnow traps to catch cocahoe minnows
Posted by Reelscreamers on 9/17/19 at 10:06 pm to sawtooth
Natural bait like crabs or shrimp. Any other bait is better if it has oil in it. Dog food, tuna fish in oil, hot dogs, bacon. Those little buggers are like piranha. If they grew to be 5 pounds it would not be safe to get in the water.

Forecast has changed, looking for 20+ out of the east. The front side will be out and the back side ain't gonna be much better. Buy more beer with the gas money you gonna save leaving that boat on the trailer.

The trout bit well on the beaches this past week and there were decent redfish mixed in with them but that is over for several days with this wind that is blowing.
re: Shredded pup paw pads
Posted by Reelscreamers on 9/2/19 at 6:28 am to Lonnie Utah
Mine stepped on an oyster shell last year and cut a huge slice in the main pad. I was concerned as I read that pads are very difficult to regenerate and usually when exposed do not toughen back up. I was by myself on the island so my choice was to cancel someone's fishing trip so I could take her up the bayou or do it myself. I made her as comfortable as I could, cleaned it real good Steri Striped it and wrapped it real good. It took several weeks for that foot to heal but it did just fine. You can tell she is a little tender when she is on gravel but no other signs she was ever injured.

re: What should I use to cut fiberglass?

Depending on the size of the hole the best thing to use is s forstner bit, you will not get a cleaner cut. Hole saw works well but if you decide to use it run it in reverse first to scar your gelcoat that will usually keep the teeth from grabbing and knocking a chip out of the gelcoat.
