If everyone turned off their Avatar/sig pic would it get better?

Can they shut down avi's as an admin control?

wait, this has happened before?

I guess you can not expect computer nerds to have the business sense to boost bandwidth on high traffic days. How many people will come here today and be turned off by the speed and never return?

If this is something that can be forecasted and planned for then it's very irresponsible for this to be happening today.

Who's responsible for this?
Maybe the people on the Food and Drink Board would be interested in this thread

My only question is why you think the market price is not already correct.

it has ranged between $0.17-$0.19 over the past 5 years. If "regime change" is ahead, and a more militant government is around the corner, the EPound will devalue.

I believe historically in the area(M.E) there is a significant money movement out of the area during periods of unrest.

Can you get a future sell option?

if you are expecting the 1 Egyptian pound = 0.1707 US dollars, to decrease in value, what is the best way to take advantage of it?

thank you, I hadn't thought about that. I just figured that you had to put down words, but making a comic makes more sense. Thanks

How do they write Symbolism?

Posted by The Claw on 1/27/11 at 5:10 pm
I would like to write a piece of fiction one day, but I only see scenes in my head. While dialog is important, I feel its the subtleties that are more important in staging the message, everything going on in the background. If I point it out then it becomes preaching/hokey versus finding it/becoming aware.

Example: A scene from Fight Club
min 7:45-8:05

here's the script:

quote:

EXT. LARGE PARKING LOT - DAY

Jack and Tyler, in work gloves, armed with TOOLS, work
together to lift the entire METAL PLATE of EXIT SPIKES from
the ground. They reverse it, then replace it.

MOMENTS LATER

Jack and Tyler walk away, each carrying a 4x4 plank of WOOD.

JACK
There's fight club in Delaware City.

TYLER
I heard. Local 15, Monday nights.

As they pass PARKED CARS, they SWING the planks against
front bumpers -- activating ALARMS and INFLATING AIR BAGS...

JACK
Local 8 just started in Penns Grove.
And, Bob said he was at fight club in
Newcastle last week.

TYLER
Newcastle? Did you start that one?

JACK
I thought you did.

In the background, a CAR quickly EXITS the parking lot --
front tires EXPLODING, wheel rims throwing sparks.

The script doesn't complete the scene. If you notice they hit a BMW, bypass what looks like a toyota/honda/kia, and then hit a VW bug.

Pit waves off Norton from hitting the 2nd vehicle. I interpreted this to mean that they were hurting/destroying that which people used to identify themselves. ie BMW Rich/Power person, VW Bug Hippy/Fun person.

You can comment on the scene or if you have experience in writing a couple helpful tips.

I was a business major and have had Zero training in writing.
who forgot how to spell google, I am ashamed
is this it?

I went to goggle search and looked at dates. Hope this helps.

Okay so I got this:

youngin'

youngin'

I looked for an odd word that Pudedum used, and then searched for who else has used it.

Then I looked for which of those users did not post while Pudedum was posting.

threeputt was the only one who fit this bill

This place has cool search features. How'd I do?
