Seriously, his bs can't hit quarterbacks or receivers initiatives are ruining the league. I can't tell you how many games I've turned off because of absurd penalties for perfectly legit hits.

1) Did this thread get anchored? I couldn't find it after I read the article.

2) Why does the NFL and other leagues get replacement players when there are player strikes?

Is it to still make money in a year with out play? I want to know the purpose of it.

Goodell has been a very good comish

Dont know why people say he hasnt earned his money

More so than any other major sport commissioner he has earned his money and is by far the best in major sports

Outside of the hits on QB legislation I really like what he's done.

He has held players responsible for on and off the field actions. I am particularly happy that he suspended Rapelesberger.

The NFL can't. After the last strike, replacement players were prohibited if there was another lockout. I don't know the reasoning why but I'd have to guess that the players don't like it because they're getting replaced with scrubs and the owners don't want to get replacement because they get TV money regardless so why would they want a payroll full of scrubs that no one really wants to watch to begin with.

goodell has done GOOD for the most part. face it with the players getting so big and so fast you can't have them decapitating eachother helmet to helmet style.

and his conduct policy is great. he's NOT GONNAhave you run around like a bunch of wild animals and embarass the SHEILD like that like some other leagues

I concur with this statement.

Players need to learn their place. They are one of the worst types of unions out there. They want raises in a shitty at best economy.

Now Goddell is no saint due to his handling of SpyGate and the fact that the Steelers conveniently get every single call they need. I'm really not surprised that 6 of the last 10 Super Bowl winners are from the Northeast and their owners just happen to be buddy buddy with Goddell, but that's another issue.
