re: Youth left handed rifle

Started my son @ 8 with a youth left handed Savage Axis in 7mm-08 with reduced recoil loads. Couldn't be happier with the way it performed. He is 16 now and has killed a pile of deer with it with zero issues.

Extremely happy with mine over the last 5 years
Went from Ridge to Recon.. Recon are louder and don't do near as well in the mud.
I'm a pool builder in Houston and that's how we dig all of our pools. It will handle just about any dirt work you throw at it.

re: Best TV for covered patio?

I am a pool & patio builder in Houston. We use Vizio & Samsung Tv's and have zero issues as long as they are covered. You can leave the tv on all the time (goes into sleep mode) and the heat from the boards help keep out any moisture and condensation.
H Town is a big city. What side of town are you on?
My son has the exact same issue. I started him off shooting lefty at age 7. He's 14 and shoots left handed no problem. Everything else is right handed. I stated hi with a Savage Axis Compact/Youth in 7mm-08 reduced recoil.

I typically get 40-50K per set rotating every 7-10K miles. Best all around tire I've run for street and mud.
I recently bought a 23 F150 w/EcoBoost and so far, I could not be happier. Ride is excellent and quiet. Mileage is good for how I drive.

The are all over my neighborhood just N of Houston. Golf courses around here are covered up with them.
Any pics of your set up?

DECKED Drawer System: Thoughts?

Posted by Fetch78 on 5/10/23 at 10:04 am
Really thinking about adding one to my truck for tool storage. I am a pool builder in N Houston and I am tired of the tool bags and such sliding around. I do have a locking rolling bed cover now. If Decked is added, would likely add an ARE topper as well. Just looking for feedback on those who own/owned the Decked system?

I’ve got the Ruger with a stainless barrel and it’s a tack driver. Had it for several years with zero complaints.

Muck Boots

Tried the search bar but didn’t find much. What’s your go to rubber boot? Had multiple pair of Lacrosse that have been fine. Last pair was Under Armour that held up well. Muck still popular?

Carters country for a non membership range. Also, check out the website 2coolfishing.com as they have several hunting boards as well.

What part of Houston? I am on the N side in the woodlands/conroe area.
I purchased a Liberty 1776 from Tractor Supply and I've been very pleased with. I really just needed it for storage space of guns and to keep any kiddos visiting with my son out of harms way. Fits the bill perfectly.

Bought my son a Savage Axis youth model in 7mm-08 at your sons age and started him with the Hornady Reduced Recoil loads. Gun is extremely accurate and he's killed a pile of deer with the reduced recoil loads. He is going to be 13 this year and still loves his rifle.
