re: Anyone been to Coquette lately?

Sounds like we were there the same night (Friday). We started with the bread with butter and beef marmalade, it was fantastic and probably the highlight of the meal. Had a half dozen raw oysters which were very good and the smoked fish dip which was also very good. My wife had the snapper and I had the flounder. We didn’t care for the snapper the way it was prepared with the curry and it was a little overcooked. The flounder was very good. We also had the panna cotta and it was good. But like you said we weren’t blown away by anything except maybe the bread! We ate at Lilette a couple of weeks prior and the two fish dishes we had there were better
I almost never comment on here, but I just signed in to say you are a fricking idiot
Great pictures. Ex navy and retired Delta Captain here. Makes me miss it!

Some would think it’s a little expensive, but yeah I think it’s a bargain. I’ve ordered them three times and they’ve been pretty consistently good and meaty

Pricey but good
I have the PKTX. I bought it so I can fold it up and put it in the storage compartment on my fifth wheel. The PK grills are quality cookers that will last forever. Almost all the guys that compete in steak cooking competitions use them. I also have a 22” Weber kettle with the Slo N Sear insert that I keep at my fishing camp. I honestly can’t say that I like one more than the other. You can’t go wrong with either one.
Don’t know if I’ll be there when they put it up, but I’ll be there for a game or two next season
That was a heartbreaker for sure. I felt pretty good at the end of last year, but my attitude at the beginning of this season was that I had absolutely no expectations. After third and seventeen at Texas I was convinced that this was going to be a special season! Boy has it ever! Miss the tailgates with you Spankum. Hope you are well
LSUfreek I signed in for the first time in ages to let you know how much I enjoyed your posts! 62 year old LSU fan since I was old enough to listen to John Ferguson call the games on the radio. You made me laugh so many times!!!! Thanks
Has the water started to recede on Duchtown Villa Drive or is it still rising?
Wow, I think you said it better than anything I've ever read on these boards! A lot of people will never forgive Les for that game. I have but it is definitely a bad memory!

Thanks for all the responses. Please don't blame us if the Tigers lose. My wife is fired up! I think she likes baseball more than football.!

Question about game tonight

Posted by v1vrv2 on 6/8/13 at 11:41 am
A friend of mine just offered me two great tickets to the game tonight. I have never been to an LSU baseball game. How hard is it to find parking, how early should you arrive before game, etc. I will be driving down from Alexandria area.
I agree with all of the posters. I am 54 years old and been a Tiger fan since I was old enough to listen to John Ferguson call the games on the radio. This has been the most fun and entertaining LSU season I can remember. I too, was depressed yesterday thinking that it's almost over. I actually felt sorry for Auburn in that third quarter. Win or lose, I agree that it has been a special season. Geaux Tigers and beat Bama again!
