Opendoor lays off 250 Indians and shuts down its India HQ

wonder if this is a new trend....we used to outsource American jobs to Indians....maybe now we are outsourcing Indian jobs to AI.......

A lot of work that was outsourced to India and other places outside America is the work that is easy and repeatable. It's the sort of stuff that AI can more easily absorb, so it would make sense that they are going to be hit harder there.

I took a temp job 20 years ago at a Hertz call center in Oklahoma that paid $9.75 an hour. Our training class had 18 of the most unemployable Americans you’ve ever seen. Half of them called in sick 25% of the training month.
I totally understand to a degree why these companies went abroad.

Yeah any job that can be outsourced overseas is in imminent danger of being replaced by AI. Countries like India and the Philippines are shaking in their boots.
