I’ve got several acquaintances who have taken their hometown high school/college age babysitter with them on out of town vacations to handle the kids when mom and dad wanted time away from the kids.
Ground rules are established up front so everyone knew what to expect from the other.
Every one I know who were taken along to watch the kids had a great time on an all expense paid trip, and the mom was much more relaxed about who was watching their angels…

I put together a quick kit with a Coleman single burner butane stove, sauce pan, fry pan, spatula, tongs, enamel camp style plates and a couple can of fuel in a milk crate. This will fit in the back of all my vehicles and on a rack on my sxs.
This will cook just about anything I would want in a tailgate/duck blind situation and easy to grab and go. Milk crate doubles as a make shift table/stove stand

For lunch in Vicksburg during the week, I’d recommend Main Street Market (open M-F,11:00-2:00), Rusty’s Riverfront Grill, or Walnut Hills.
Rusty’s is also good place for dinner, but closed on Sundays and Mondays.
