In what I'm sure is going to be a talking point that will be beaten to death, VMI has a lefty named Trey Morgan on their roster.

We’re the away team tonight

It’s a hairline fracture in his middle finger. We’ve all probably had hairline fractures in our fingers but never checked them. He prob told a trainer and they sat him with day to day designation. I don’t think it will be terrible.
Soooo….who’s going to Hoover?

My first time at the tournament this year. Who’s all going?
Real Ump Show Today
Posted by elijahmoran on 4/16/22 at 4:45 pm
Between Jobert’s delay and K, and that HR, umps taking a lot of pride in their calls today. 1st base ump shot his hand up like his team just won the Super Bowl

Is Jacob Berry secretly a robot?
Posted by elijahmoran on 4/9/22 at 4:48 pm
He never shows any emotion, and runs in such a way that looks robotic…
Anyone heading to Gainesville?
Posted by elijahmoran on 3/24/22 at 9:49 pm
Who will be in Gainesville for the weekend? Hoping we have a good showing, knowing UF can’t fill up their new park

It sucks bc he has heart and cares about lsu obviously.
I will say he did have a good moment when he pointed at "LSU" when he closed the game to beat OM last year. He does care

At least PM teams played defense.
Remember not stressing a throw to first?
Thought on Fontenot...
Posted by elijahmoran on 3/19/22 at 10:31 pm
We all want Fontenot to be good... he showed heart in that Super against FSU and was on the wrong side of an epic duel. What has he done besides that? Besides PM making him a "closer" that more times than not ends up blowing it
Berry needs to DH NOW
Posted by elijahmoran on 3/19/22 at 10:28 pm
Merrifield to 3rd and Berry to DH. That is all. Jobert can sit
re: Possible injury to Money

Money Video via Michael Cauble
The video doesn’t look promising… you’d think he’d hold his hand up to look if was a blister. Might still be shoulder

The hate for Jimmy Dykes might be the one thing this Rant can agree upon

1B Morgan
2B Bianco
SS Thompson
3B Doughty
LF Dugas

RF Digiacomo
DH Berry

Now, you’ve got Jobert out of the lineup. Non starter for me. Jobert in RF. Gio doesn’t give you enough defensively to make up for what you lose by taking Jobert out of the lineup.
Hopefully JJ throws Jobert in LF this midweek so we can see what he does defensively

re: Is the relaxation of grooming standards the cause of poor fielding?

[quote]No, but would be a good motivational tactic. Until team fielding % reaches a certain level then all facial hair must go.
This is a pretty good idea lol
Get some discipline on this team

Funny you say this...
Last year, when PM started off the year with a relaxed shave rule, they were 14-3. Right before conference play, in the midweek against Southeastern, PM reinforced the rule. They shaved and proceeded to go 20-19.
