re: Sciatic Nerve Treatment

Posted by apd76 on 11/17/15 at 3:28 pm
bucket seats sometimes position knees higher than hips. This throws all upper weight onto piriformis, through which the sciatic runs.

A cushion, like the Gseat Lite I mentioned, lowers (or at least spreads out) pressure on lower back and sciatic; and may help elevate hips above knees.

I commuted for a year and a half and developed "foot drop," which is an extreme example of sciatica. That cushion has helped significantly. The inversion table helped too as others have noted.

Also, don't sit on a wallet. Ever. It's taken me almost 5 years to recover, and I was once a decent athlete. Hope this helps.. don't snooze on it!

If you're commuting, be aware of how you sit..
too much pressure on your sciatic every day could numb it. You might try to find a seat cushion.. I recommend the Gelco Gseat Lite; and if you sit in an office chair all day be even more careful. Consider a standing desk.

Also don't assume it's a piriformis issue and try to massage it - you could possibly further damage sciatic nerve like I did.

+1, whereas a prior mattress sunk in the middle and ruined my back

Hack a Shaq. Daddy Dale took one for the team

Yes he did. Les should call out the "mug a Buga" trend and defend LF.
That said, we actually benefited from a few non-calls too.
6-0 baby, all that matters

OP- do you have a desk job?
If so, stand up more during the day and be aware of how you sit.
Don't snooze on it- could lead to much worse.
He also backed up Rodgers and Wilson.
Think the Pats could ever face GB or SEA?
He'll stick around. Belichik loves da Tigers

Quite possibly for the first time in history, in spite of "achievements" over past 20 or so years. Potential is rather scary

You're right TB08, there is a lot of ignorance in this thread. Thanks for enlightening us all

Good on Mourinho for stating the truth. Oscar should get the ban, that little coward.
You gotta love Ibra:

"When I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around.. It felt like I had a lot of babies around me."

"I don't know if I have to get angry or start to laugh. For me when I saw the red card I was like 'the guy doesn't know what he's doing'," the PSG forward added.
I think Gresham had some concussion issues last year.. troubling for a TE. IMO

re: Tim Quarterman Appreciation Thread

From Advocate's S Mickles:
quote:

..when guard Jalyn Patterson heard someone on the bench say Quarterman needed two assists to join the triple-double club. “He said, ‘Hey, get one more assist … get one more assist,’ ” a smiling Quarterman said. “I was like, ‘Why?’ And he just said to get one more. Then, Mick dunked and I heard the crowd yelling ‘triple-double.’ It was just a crazy moment.”

what a moment!
And his defense, hustle and composure were equally, if not more, impressive

We lost to them twice. LSU losing to lesser teams isnt because they had off night. Its who they are, a talented, inconsistent, poorly coached team.

We're talking about teenagers here. There's a ton of growth that can occur over a few months. They've learned how to in-bounds, avoid TO's, make free-throws, finish games...and lately even dominate.
They've consistently hustled on D and transition. And they can score.
CJJ catches way too much heat IMO
