We can not count on the Defense getting 4 turnovers a game... We must pass for 200 plus, and run for 200 plus
We "must" put up 400+ yards of offense on the number 3 team in the nation to satisfy you?
As much as folks gave him a hard time for his blocking last year, T-Bob had a great game Saturday night. He blew some holes up. Several plays had him pull and follow Will Blackwell and the holes were huge.
I think "desire" is the word you are looking for, not "envie."

nbaone, are you Dennis Harris?
Now seeing that nbaone is in fact Dennis Harris, pretty funny to go back and read his posts over time. Comments on the point guards and the coach are pretty humorous.

Why do you have to be a jerk? I wouldn't call this team soft in any way. They are one of the tougher teams LSU has fielded in years.
The truth is, Les Miles never airs his laundry for the media or the fans. He doesn't criticize his players to the media and he doesn't threaten his coaches (Tennessee game was an exception, but GC took the blame for that fiasco with the media himself). I would rather have Les' class than a coach that says it's never his fault and blames players and coaches everytime the play doesn't look good.
We don't know what he says behind closed doors to his players and coaches, and that's the way it should be.

5-15 with Oakland
7-6 with UT
Congrats
There's a reason why Sark, Rilly and Del Rio said no = Sanctions.

Kiff has been such a rousing success as a HC. At least his great raport with the NCAA should help ease any coming sanctions...
re: Randle could have been our Trent Richardson

As frustrated as I have been with the playcalling, time management and other lapses this year, I am most frustrated with the lack of development of young players.
RS's year was a complete waste with nothing to show for losing that year of eligibility. At least Randle was on the field and hopefully learning, and some of it may be JJ's fault as Randle was likely his 3rd or 4th read on most plays. Frankly, I felt like Peterson didn't show good coaching, just freakish ability that is raw.
How many top recruits have we watched underperform, while everywhere else in the SEC they seem to blossom from their true freshman year on (Trent Richardson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, etc.). Our true freshmen don't know where to line up, even after having an extra spring of practice. It's maddening.

So if it weren't for BG and the lack of receivers, Tebow would have resembled John Elway?
I think the bigger question is how involved was BG in the offensive gameplanning and playcalling.

Seriously, there have been a dozen news features on him in the past week (two are still linked from TD homepage), which provide the exact information you request. Not to mention scores of threads in the Coaching Changes and Tiger Rant forums. Just look.
Sure hate for Miles to lose all the respect he has garnered from the Rantards...

You can't gauge PP's impact by stats. I could be wrong, but I believe he has had one (1) pass thrown to his receiver since the Washington game. His impact is in making his side of the field off limits to passing plays.
I am really hoping Green and Jones are lined up on him. Maybe then we'll get to see him make plays.

re: In your opinion, what is a victory Saturday night?

We are 2 - 0. If we win Saturday, we are 3 - 0. I have bigger hopes for the team than keeping UL-L from scoring a touchdown, having JJ throw deep passes, and all the other BS that occupies the minds of rantards. I'd be happy if we just keep winning.

I listened to the game while I was in the stadium Saturday night and I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
It's listening to the game when you can't see what's going on that makes it painful.
I too like his voice, but if you want to actually know what's going on he's horrible. He gets player's names mixed up constantly and when he gets excited, he doesn't actually tell you what's going on. Just a lot of "my oh my" and "oh boy". I listen to the broadcasts for Doug Moreau.
Toliver has said they saw it on tape from USC a bunch and knew it was coming that play. My point (and then I'll shut up) wasn't that there wasn't a fake hand-off, only that it had nothing to do with the corner blitz or Toliver being open.

I'm not looking at the play right now, but I recall that was simply a corner-blitz that Jefferson and Toliver recognized. Toliver cut off his route and Jefferson hit him before the safety could get there. The safety then missed the tackle. Don't see that it had anything to do with a fake hand-off. That corner wasn't reacting to any fake.

We're not exactly known for bringing Freshmen into the mix right off the bat.
I get tired of reading this BS.
Isn't it really a variation of the spread? Florida ran a few triple option plays out of the spread. It is not the old Wishbone, as they don't have three running backs. They use a wide-out in motion for one of the options. That's more like a spread IMO...
Nebraska isn't the only team to have run the triple option back then. Oklahoma ran the wishbone for 15 years or more, Nebraska did too. There were several NCs between them and a few Heisman trophy winners as I recall. (I believe Texas, A&M, Arkansas and Mississippi State did as well). As with any offense, once the defenses figure it out, it goes by the wayside. I don't think it would be as successful in the SEC with speed and talent at defense we tend to see, but who knows...
