with the Frank Wilson deal, it will look bad perception wise.

are you saying kiffin is telling wilson to pretend he's committing to LSU and then stay with tenn?

Are you saying Kiffin has never stooped to this level in his coaching career?
I'm just kidding but I do have that small inkling in the back of my mind, like...that SOB better not be!

So, if UT offers more money to keep him than LSU thinks he's worth....Miles will have been "played"?
JEEBUS!!
JEEBUS!!

This is a lose-lose for Miles as far as internet perception. If Wilson comes it will be because he was not working out at Tennessee. If he stays it is because Kiffin is the man and can only be stopped by Armageddon.

I think you're reading to mucch into this.
#1 It's just an assistant coach
#2 He either comes to LSU, or he doesn't. simple as that
#3 Even if he doesn't come, we will hire a qualified coach to replace Porter.

lets see here, Alabama paid 250K for Means
Tenn is currently paying Frank 150 K
LSU will likely bump that up if he were to come here
So we will see how much AJ is worth to both programs...
This is just a Joke by the way guys

Miles' coaches - Pellini got a major HC position, Porter as RB coach a HC position, Peveto got a HC position --- Frank wants to get a HC gig -- probably best chance in in LA ( i.e Tulane )and moving back home helps him do that.

The better question is why do we keep going after Tennessee's staff? Is Tennessee a hot bed for assistant coaches or something?

Coincidence. Remember, when Miles had Orgeron coming to LSU, he has still with the Saints and not with Tennessee. Orgeron verbally agreed to LSUs offer. Team Kiffin heard about this, got on a plane, and interrupted Ogre during his family vacation.
They had a contract making him the highest paid position coach in CFB history and told him they were not leaving until he signed.
Now LSU needs a RB coach who can recruit. Wilson fits the bill. He would be more effective in Louisiana with his ties to New Orleans and at Tennessee he is coaching WRs. A position he has never coached or played before.

I was referring more to the Chavis hire. Even though eh was technically out of a job anyway, he had been at Tenn for a long time.

If he gets played again, he will set fire to Kiffin's house quicker than Sherman went through Georgia boys.

He's making $150,000 here, you all have offered $300,000.
I don't see us matching that, and I sure don't see him turning down double what he's making now.

Sure hate for Miles to lose all the respect he has garnered from the Rantards...

anyone else scared we may just end up with Tennessee old staff? you know the one that wasn't working out...

FWIW, Wilson is atleast still in Knoxville working as of now.
