The Florida Supreme Court is the most conservative it has been in over 100 years. But, that doesn’t really answer the question of what they will do. Though, this usually means the justices are more plain language conservatives than change language liberals....

re: Can Desantis be controlled by money?

They are all controlled by money. If you don’t see that, then I don’t know what to say. The worst part is the money comes indirectly from us (whether it be tax money sent to Ukraine and laundered back to politicians or special interest making lobbying payments/donations from corporate profits she....

re: Question for fathers of daughters
Posted by interdesting on 8/20/22 at 8:05 pm
My understanding is that a juror takes an oath to not discuss any aspect of the case outside of Court. Your post discusses punishment (an aspect of the case) outside of Court. In a very literal sense, you are violating your oath as a juror, and violating the law....

re: AOC wants to strip SCOTUS of jurisdiction
Posted by interdesting on 7/16/22 at 7:45 am

Bc, if they did, they’d just draft a law in favor of aborting babies... it’s funny how they are suggesting passing an indirect law to deal with an issue instead of a direct...
re: AOC wants to strip SCOTUS of jurisdiction
Posted by interdesting on 7/16/22 at 7:28 am
Thankfully, any case wherein a State is a party, the Supreme Court has Original Jurisdiction. Thus, a state becomes a party to abortion cases (which normally arises when that state enforces its own law on the issue) is outside Congress’s “narrow” ability to “regulate” the Supreme Court’s Appellate ...
