Section 300 is the club level loge seats...those are the generally best/most expensive seats in the Dome, they actually overhang some of the 100 level sets. The 100 level is the plaza; closer to the field, but they are field level seats and you can't see some parts of the field, especially if everyone is standing up
If this is "rock bottom," then we are a pretty damn good program
The strategy changes from year to year depending on (1) who the #4 seed is and (2) what our pitching depth looks like.
Last year, it was clear we didn't have a solid #3, so Mainieri's only option was to start Poche against #4 seed Utah Valley.
We've already lost to UNO (twice) and McNeese this year. You can bet that Mainieri won't take any #4 seed lightly. Dropping a home regional opener would pretty much kill any chance to advance.

Stats show that while he may not be putting up superstar numbers, he is definitely not the cause of any postseason struggles for LSU. Any other team would be ecstatic if that was the stat line of a hitter in a "post-season slump."
The guy gets on base, hits for a solid average, and doesn't strike out.

Ideally raph rhymes is our DH. Guy doesn't belong in the OF with the speed and talent we have on our bench. McMullen would be a noticeable defensive improvement over Rhymes.
But PM made the same deal with Rhymes that he made with Dean, so Rhymes is a guaranteed started in the outfield.

False. That article was written after his junior year, hoss. He played 2B his entire senior season in high school. Sophomore Josh Faciane (now at ULM) replaced him at 3B that year.
He's a good fielder, but on a team of defensive stars he doesn't stand out. It's his versatility that is most valuable.

He played 2B in high school. And he is a very versatile fielder, as he's shown over the years.
Exactly. Of course his BA is going to drop eventually. .450 was unsustainable.
I'll take this thread with a grain of salt and be happy that we are doing so well that Mason Katz's batting is our biggest complaint....

Bama runner was tipping pitches last inning. 0-2, 2 out pitch in the bottom of 13. Runner on second tipped the pitch to the batter.
Emerson Gibbs (Tulane commit) is in line for a complete game shutout, having only allowed 2 base runners tonight. He's pitched 19 innings in the tournament—and 18 of them have been shutout innings.

Retif Oil/New Orleans leads 4-0 through the top of the 9th.
New Jersey coming up in bottom of ninth. Jesuit is 3 outs away from winning its 3rd legion national championship.

FYI, the game started about 30 minutes ago. It's on ESPN3 (internet only).

Lee averaged 127 yds/start. Why does everyone think he was an All-American?
He was merely adequate, but still better than the other option.

He'd had a rough year so far, but he still would've been considered one of the favorites, especially with Contador out.
