When you're in tournament format of any kind, the first win is the most important win you can get. Lange or Poche are the only viable options.

He'll be fine against the SWAC team we'll play.

False... Just ask LSU?

2015 Supers game 1 vs UL, Lange starts.
2016 Regional game 1 vs Utah Valley, Poche starts.
2016 Supers game 1 vs Coastal, Lange starts.

last year in the sec tourney vs a piss poor tennessee team, latz started and it took a miracle for lsu to win. its proven over and over.

You won't get a SWAC team as a 4 seed.....

You have no clue what you're talking about. We're not wasting Poche or Lange on the 4 seed.

And then you're using the SEC tournament as an example like the tournament actually matters.

No shite Poche or Lange will start game 1 of the Super Regional.

It just all depends on who's in our regional. For the first game it'll either be Poche or Walker it just depends on how good or bad the 4 seed is. Game 2 would be Lange and then Game 3 either Walker or Poche

Then why did Florida start Faedo last year against the 4 seed powerhouse Bethune Cookman? Why did LSU start Poche against the 4 seed powerhouse Utah Valley last year? Why did TCU start their ace Traver last year against 4 seed powerhouse Sacred Heart?

These were all opening regional games. You just don't get it, I understand.

Because if you lose the opening game, you have to win 4 games to advance. You win the first game, you win 2 more and you advance. It's not a hard concept to figure out. Every team across the country does it.

what the OP does't get is that the regional sets up your super regional rotation.....Lange will pitch on the day that makes sure he gets the right amount of days off between starts.

To say we don't throw Lange in the regional until a Monday "If necessary" game is idiotic

You're correct. Just trying to make him understand why teams throw ace first round. OP acts like regional tournament is an automatic advance. If LSU draws UNO first round, you really want Hess to start that game? I can guarantee you LSU would start Poche or Lange.

LSU started Jordan Brown on Friday in the 2008 regional.

LSU started Austin Ross on Friday in the 2009 regional.

LSU started Alden Cartwright on Friday in the 2015 Regional.

You don't know what you're talking about
