Looking for gun safe brand suggestions. I saw one somewhere a few months ago that the gun holder swung out for easier access, so you didn’t beat them getting them from the back but I don’t remember the brand. But I’m taking all suggestions.

Personally, I like Browning Medallion series safes. I don’t know anything about swing out racks, but Browning has door storage which is nice for commonly used firearms.

Depending on your needs, it generally makes more sense to get a smaller safe, with the plan to get another one when space gets tight.

Smaller safes are easier to fit in closets and easier to move yourself.

Yes, and cheaper ones are also easier to break into.

They should be bolted down and should have limited/no access to the back/sides.

All safes do for theft is slow them down. That’s why it’s important to have multiple levels of theft mitigation.

I will always recommend Cannon because they did me right after the flood. However I have heard they have dropped off on their quality. But I love mine.

I always hear a gun safe just slows the thief’s down.
But I have never once heard of or knew someone whose safe was busted open and the guns stolen.
Just buy a quality safe you like.
Bigger than you think you need.

When I was researching safes, I read a story of a guy that had his safe in the garage, next to his cutting torch. They got in pretty easily

I also personally know a guy who had his cabin broke into and guns stolen. They pushed the safe over and pried a hole in the door big enough to pull all the guns out. The number of door bolts does matter. His case is a prime example though. The thieves knew they had plenty of time to work. They even ate lunch.

At the end of the day, you want to make it as difficult as possible for them. A monitored alarm system doesn’t allow for much time to haul off or break into a decent safe.

Also, as proud as you may be of all your guns, it’s best not to advertise it to many people.

Whatever size you think you need, go bigger.

Just make sure you count your guns and double the capacity for the safe you choose.

Browning Medallion series

I agree with this. I went a little cheaper and bought a 49 gun Field and Stream tall model built by Browning from Tractor supply. The fire rating is still good and the safe is big enough for what I need. They are heavy and very hard to move though. Pick a spot and hope you don't have to move it again.
