IT will prove what alot of us have been saying. The man CAN recruit, it just takes someone else who knows how to coach them.
but hey those second tier bowls are important too. whoo hoo. Auburn is playing for the National Championship but hey we beat Texas AM in the Cotton. Impressive.
LSU has declined. They used to win SEC championships, now they consistently finish third in the west. That friends IS decline.
re: Les leaving LSU would be really really bad for us.

please he wouldn't have even gotten there without the help of West Virginia. He lost two games to unranked teams the year he slipped into that national championship, and he hasn't even won the West since. Wake up people. He gets winning seasons because anyone that recruits that well will at least win nine games. But a GOOD coach that recruits that well will win conference and National Championships. Struggling to beat bad Tennessee and Florida teams should not be looked upon as good coaching. As a matter of fact it was downright bad coaching. ie see OLE MISS last year.
it's only bad if you like winning Cotton Bowls. If you like winning National Championships or even SEC championships, it's not a problem.
under this head coach Molton will be glad he transfered. As long as LSU keeps Les Miles Baton Rouge is going to be alot less desirable to many people. He will just continue to waste good talent and kids will start to catch on.

Dooley did I don't know why he couldnt. We dont have four star players on our rosters at Tech anyway but for a midmajor we are bringing in alot of 3 stars and that is about the most you can bet on unless you are at a BCS school.
why all of a sudden does everyone want to be Tech's coach. Can we just pick one already

well since barks and bytes is once again crashed, have we hired Monken?
you keep talking about flukes and dead end jobs but Crowton is making a million as your AC and Dooley just got offered over 2 at UT. Doesnt sound like being Tech's coach is too dead end job to me.
i think what most of you people dont realize is that the close loss at LSU and Boise were with developing back up players that dooley was forced to rely on due to injuries. so yes based on that Dooley might have been a much better coach then the record indicated. we actually looked much better then the team that had a winning record and went to the INDY bowl. We were the most injury laden team in the country last year. Only time would have told buy Dooley had a very favorable home schedule next year and alot of peoples opinions of him would have changed.
once He can figure out from the state troopers escorting him out, how many time outs we have left.
re: To all the Miles Haters, At least we have a coach that sticks by

yeah this is one time where i wish our coach would not be so faithful to us. Of course who wants him. we are stuck with him

Disapprove
I think the writing is on the wall with Les Miles and yes I do think very soon we will see some recruits jump ship
I went to both LSU and Tech so I love both schools so I have no Tech beef here. An unbiased opinion says that LSU has absolutely no color on offense at all. I thought Tech didn't have the athletes LSU does but still found a way to make LSU's offense look boring and uncreative. Defense is about the athletes so boise and LSU probably are about even there but Boise has definitely more than an edge in the offensive production area. And I know LSU fans want to blame this game on having Scott and JJ out but what was our freaking excuse when they were playing? We looked just as dull.
actually thats pretty accurate. Boise has a better offense. Of course I thought Tech had a more creative offense than LSU but this year thats not hard
and little town Ruston looks just like little town Auburn. If Tech for some unforseen reason sees itself in the SEC, then the state would slowly see itself split. North Louisiana people would start seeing themselves as Tech fans as opposed to LSU fans. Suddenly we have a large stadium filled with Tech fans who dispise the evil team from the south. Suddenly we are going after and even beating out LSU for recruits. All this sound familiar. It happens in Alabama. that is what would happen if LaTech found itself in the SEC. LSU's ultimate nightmare. So stop playing what if's. because LSU doesn't want to even think about what ifs.The only thing keeping LSU successful is that it doesn't have to share the top recruits in the state. Trust me you don't want Tech in the SEC, it would turn LSU into just another Mississippi school.
re: Put Tech in the SEC.....

What point are you trying to win idiot. That LSU is better. I admit that and yes why wouldn't a top recruit pick LSU over Tech. I just said the programs are going in the opposite direction but I also admitted they would never meet in the middle. Les is not a great coach. So far he has proven only to be a great recruiter. And he took that trophy on the sheer luck that everyone else sucked as bad that year. He lost two games to unranked teams moron. He can thank everybody else losing for him even being in that game. Do you ever see a two loss team getting in again. I am not complaining because I was a student at LSU and love them but LES looked just sad on those sidelines last night. and that aint good for LSU. And you started this stupid assinine thread about putting Tech in the SEC. Well listen up if Tech were in the SEC they wouldn't have been playing LSU with these caliber athletes. If Tech were in the SEC they probably would be playing in front of at least 50 thousand people in Ruston. If Tech were in the SEC they would be receiving BCS money that would enlarge the stadium and increase the recruiting budget. I mean really where would Mississippi St be if they were in the WAC. Figure it out.
