If Miles does leave and LSU wins the BCSNCG in the next 2 years are we all going to say that the only reason the new coach won was because he had Miles players? Kinda like most did when Miles won with Saban's players.

ETA- Clarify the statement, alittle.

The grass is always greener before the coach eats it.

Would this be similiar to "Don't eat yellow snow"?

To answer the op, it really depends on who would be hired.

Not a single peep was said when Corch Meyer won in his first year with Zook's players, except for Tebow and a couple of others.

Saban won in his third year, just like Miles did, yet no one was claiming that he had won with Shula's players, except for haters on here.

If Miles were to leave, and LSU would hire a HUGE name, and that new coach would win, then the talk would be "How did Miles not win a title with the talent he brought in?".

Probably not. People will think LSU finally has a good coach. Fans never have and never will accept Les Miles whether he stays or leaves.

I hope we get a very good coach if he leaves, but chances are this will be a huge wake up call for LSU fans.

This is going to have to be the right hire. Heard last night that 11 of the last 12 mnc head coaches were within their first 4 seasons
It can be done. My vote is jimbo cuz hes offensive minded and keep chief

Saban won with some of DeNardo's....Miles won with some of Saban's. Peterson will win with some of Miles.

No worries.

What sticks out, is how attractive the LSU brand and football program are !

IT will prove what alot of us have been saying. The man CAN recruit, it just takes someone else who knows how to coach them.
