la tech presser coming

one of my friends just finished cleaning out dooleys office and setting up for a press conference at tech. Presumably about the new hc. No word on time yet.

If Muschamp took the LSU job the only other college job I think he would leave for would be UGA. LSU is too good a job to leave unless its your alma mater

ok i havent heard much of anything else. ive heard that the presser could be later this week but i dont know how reliable that info is. Ive also heard that there is quite a few prominate alumni in town (including ryan moats). I drove by the athletics complex about 20 minutes ago and there is quite a few cars in the parking lot. Sounds like the leading candidates are todd monken, jason phillips (houston oc) and tommy bowden. All speculation at this point though. Ill update as i hear more info.

I'd be okay with that. He would have had to do a good job here for Texas too want him. After all what major school would hire a coach that had a losing record at his previous stop.

yeah moats has been around ruston since last week and ive heard hes been to meetings with alumni. As far as coach o, im not sure if he is even interested. His name has been thrown around but i dont think hes a possibility. The names i posted have been confirmed by ltac members as well as the local epsn radio host.

granted i dont know much of anything about monken but of the names listed i like phillips. His offense has been amazing at houston so its not like the wac is much of a step up from cusa. Im sure he could implement a similar system at tech.
