East Texas has several good courses. Orange beach also if you want to have more non golf activities.

Biloxi- preserve, shell landing, grand bear, fallen oak, windance
Orange beach- kiva, peninsula, gulf shores golf club, craft farms
Destin- Kelly plantation, regatta, Indian bayou, windswept dunes
Any Robert Trent jones sites seems to have multiple courses at each location. I haven’t made it there yet

Gulfport, Biloxi is your best option right now. Golf, blackjack, sports book, March madness. Good times

Dancing Rabbit is only about 4 hours from anywhere in Baton Rouge. Two Championship courses designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate. Two casino hotels, DR Inn, clubhouse rooms and Fairway House for lodging options. Golf package rates are on the website or just email a request to get lined up on rooms and tee times in advance. Discounted online tee times available on website two weeks in advance.

We went to Horseshoe Bay last August. The resort is nice, and the courses are all a short drive away. We played Ram Rock, Apple Rock, and Slick Rock. Ram and Apple share a clubhouse. I really enjoyed it. If you are stacking the rounds and mostly eating, sleeping, and golfing, I'd recommend it. There wasn't much else going on around there when we weren't playing golf. That may have mostly been due to Covid, though.

Can Confirm this. For purely a golf trip, Horseshoe Bay was fun. We did an Unlimited Golf Package, and you can get your money's worth easily if you want to play a lot of golf. We did 5 rounds in 3 days, and their 18 hole putting course two nights. The putting course was fun for evening drinking and gambling.

And if you're thinking 3-4 days, then I'd travel the extra hour to Old Waverly and Mossy Oak and take in all 4 of those courses.

Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL. Three RTJ courses and Cambrian Ridge is a short drive away.

I was going to add this but if you are looking for casino, beach and nightlife you won’t get it in West Point ms

a trip there is all about the golf although you can setup guided bird hunts with Mossy Oak which is fun as well

We are going to do something on the RTJ trail. I’ve played the mobile and point clear courses and another has played the Prattville courses. It is purely and golf, eat, drink, relax trip so night life not a big selling point.

Heading there with a group in August. We have a house on Ram Rock so definitely will play there. Guy in the group is a member at Escondido so I think we will try to play there as well. Probably time for one more rounch so did you prefer apple or slick better?

Definitely Apple. There wasn't anything special about Slick.

Absolutely cannot go wrong with the RTJ Trail.

If y’all play Magnolia Grove in Mobile, DO NOT miss the Par 3 course. Best Par 3 course in the country.

With the 2 Championship courses and the Par 3, you can play there 3 days and play each course twice easily.

And it’s less than 3 hours from BR.
