Have you ever seen psych? I see a lot of people throwing out medication names, but don’t let Dr. Google treat you. Worst thing you can do is just sit back and let it keep happening. There is no shame in going to the doctor. Most people don’t reach out for help unless their body is sick, but our minds can be sick too. We are made of chemical actions and reactions and those process can affect us in such a negative way if they are not balanced.
I have lived with OCD almost my entire life. It started to rear its ugly head around age 13 with subtle “quirks” and by 18 I was living a life ruled by compulsions. I consider myself an intelligent person, but my rational mind didn’t matter.
At 30, I feel like I have control over it for the most part. I won’t say it has gone away, there are still some obsessive thoughts/compulsive actions I still have, but I function normally and that my friend is what matters.

Our instinct is to want to fix it for them. Just be there, sometimes words aren’t even needed. Sorry y’all are going through that, I know it’s emotionally overwhelming. Stay strong!

You are absolutely right. We are the perfect cliche over here.. I am just a nurse that can’t deliver ham sandwiches fast enough to my patients and he’s just a cop that is hated because it’s cool to hate cops these days. My husband doesn’t have social media( although he does quite enjoy TD  ) for that exact reason. He would rather just not read it and go about life not worried about whatever bs propaganda people are stuck on. As his wife, sometimes it’s hard to see because I know what kind of man he is and the things he has done for these ungrateful mongrels. I’m sorry that you also get shite on for doing a job these little assholes don’t have the balls to do.

I like how you put protecting and serving in quotes. Even a cops' spouse realizes thats a sham.
For exactly this reason. You people bitch and moan about everything and anything a cop does, yet when your meth deal goes wrong and someone blows a hole in your arse you expect them to “protect and serve”. Despite all of the repeated attempts to villanize an entire group of people based on your diluted theory that the few shite bags represent the whole, my husband gets up everyday and never complains as he continues to work for a public that wouldn’t piss on him to put out a fire.

If you don't want to flip burgers or spend your day off working, then better yourself and find a better job.
Better yourself? That’s nice. He loves what he does. I could not be prouder of who he is and what he stands for. I feel sorry for you. You must be a miserable person to have such a shitty outlook.
quote:
I would wonder if you're seriously bitching about not being allowed to use an employers' resources for non-job related purposes for free. But then I remember your husband is a cop, so that disqualifies you from being rational or logical.
:rotflmao:

If you and your husband are unhappy with his choice, that's yall's own damn fault.
I never said either person was unhappy with that choice. What makes me unhappy is miserable, self loathing little shits who hide behind a computer playing keyboard nazi and spewing their venomous point of view on issues they can’t relate to or don’t know anything about. Im unhappy becuase one day you or someone you love will need a cop and they will be there, regardless of the fact you hate them and don’t even know them.

Why you getting so mad? So you can make your comments, but I can’t have a rebuttal? Sorry, didn’t realize I had stepped into the trigger zone :booboo:

Did you ever think maybe those guys “protecting and serving” are paid about as well as the teenager flipping your burger and in order to make ends meet, they can spend their “day off” working? Did you know some of those guys actually have to pay a “detail fee” for use of the car and gas during that time?
But hey, who doesn’t love getting charged more to work more? Isn’t that what our entire economic system is based on?

Untrue. While there are some departments that do not have to pay, there are those that pay a “gas fee”. The logic of running vehicles can basically be summed up by the fact that the radio, computer etc are charged while vehicle is on. My husband doesn’t have time for sit down lunch break so congratulations to those guys!

Robert the Bruce was in mine as well.. I actually really liked being able to trace mine back. I was able to go back to the Isle of Man for my dad’s side of the family. I paid for the one month and then didn’t renew it, but still have access to see what I traced back. I say if you are interested at all it is worth it.

Where do I start!?
Odd numbers, can’t deal with it. Tv volume, radio volume etc have to be set to even number. If no number exists then it has to be even number of bars/clicks/turns etc.
Bed has to be made as soon as I wake up and pillows must be in exact order (6 pillows).
When washing my hands, four is the number. Four pumps of soap, four paper towels. If it’s a hand dryer then two cycles. Also, I am guilty of counting TP squares.
Clothes must all be hung with hangers facing same way, clothing on hanger must all face the left. Folded jeans have waist on left. All clothes grouped together with like clothing. Shoes all with left shoe toe pointing forward and right shoe heel forward.
Everything has a place and must be in its place when not in use. Organization consumes my life :banghead: :dunno:
The list goes on, but I’m done explaining my crazy.

Fortunately, I haven’t had shingles. I have had quite a few patients with them and I know it’s pretty painful. As a kid I had the worst case of chickenpox. Even at 4 years old I can remember the horrible way I felt. Hope it clears up soon.

I did a family tree for my Dad one year and found a bunch of interesting and disturbing facts. Pretty cool to be able to take a small glimpse into the life of the people we came from. Never knew that about Knight, I’ll make sure to pass the info along to Pops, he loves that stuff.
Another strange one is my Dad’s grandmother’s brother, Dock Jackson, was arrested for allegedly killing a Wildlife and Fishery agent in Honey Island Swamp. He was then lynched from jail and hung from the Bogue Chitto Bridge.. The weirdest part of it is.. the man he was accused of murdering had the same name as his sister’s (dad’s grandmother) husband.

When word reached Picayune of Jackson’s capture and confinement, a mob of about one hundred men, infuriated at Favre’s not being lynched, stormed the jail. Using acetylene torches to burn through the bars, they took Jackson prisoner. A caravan of about twenty-five cars drove southward toward Honey Island Swamp and Pearl River with the taunting intent to lynch Jackson at the bridge where the murders had taken place. However, the mob was to be disappointed. Along the way the riotous caravan was stopped at the Bogue Chitto Creek bridge by a local farmer who informed them that authorities were in close pursuit. Not to be dissuaded from their mission, one of the mobsters yelled, “Let’s do it here. Right from the Bogue Chitto Creek Bridge.”

My Great- Grandfather’s grandfather was a Major in the civil war. He was sent to round up deserters and was murdered by one of them in Ellisville, MS. The house (known as The Deason Home) he was murdered in claims to be haunted and has ghost tours..
