According to them, LSU will play Texas A&M unless Nebraska beats OU, then it would be Oklahoma-LSU in the Cotton.

The guy on the A&M board saying this supposedly spoke to someone with a connection to the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association.

Don't know if it's true or not, so take it FWIW.

Confirmed. Seems as though LSU is a complete lock for the cotton bowl. I am hearing this right now as well.

hearing that cotton bowl committee likes lsu and is going to offer lsu to cotton bowl barring a crazy final weekend in college fball. loser of big 12 game (nebraska or ou) vs. lsu in cotton.

edit. or tamu. one of those three, depends on last weekend. but hearing that cotton will select lsu.

Would rather play Michigan State than OU. Hopefully it will be A&M in the Cotton, if not please be the Crapital One.

lol...IMO, Okie State is on the outside looking in when it comes to competing with A&M/Neb/OU in this case...especially considering that Okie State was in the Cotton last year. No offense to Oklahoma State, but they don't have near the national appeal that those three schools have.

Pretty sure it's wishful thinking on their part.

Cotton is 7pm, Friday January 7th. Only college bowl game that day, and the last big bowl game bfore the BCS Championship Game.

USC to Sugar.
Auburn to Orange.
Arky to Cap1.
LSU to Cotton.
Bama to Outback.

It doesn't seem IMO that the Auburn-USC game will have any affect on LSU's bowl game, but it certainly changes the destination for everyone else mentioned (Arky-Sugar/Cap1, Bama-Cap1/Outback).

More reason to root for USC?

LSU fans traveled to Orlando last year and witnessed a loss on a terrible field. Yes the field is now astro turf, but I don't think LSU would travel real well back to Orlando this year, and the committee probably understands that.

LSU would bring a big crowd to Dallas. If LSU and A&M played that would be epic.

I would be very happy with this. I hate those early kick offs.
