re: Friday Injury Report - Brees listed on report but full practice

They showed a quick shot of Brees messing with his right bicep right after the last TD. Then again after the field goal. IDK, could have been his elbow.
re: NFL Officiating: What's The Solution?

This is the solution. Fine the refs and make them accountable
Problem is the supposed fining entity (aka the NFL) is making the final calls on some of these penalties. They are dictating the game and why then would they turn around and fine the “puppets” on the field. The NFL has no reason to judge accountability.
I’m not a conspiracy guy, but I was shocked by the PI reversal today. I can make no other conclusion than it is rigged by the refs in New York and not necessarily the ones on the field. But hell, I don’t know. Just shocked.

Yep. And when Brees feels ready, he’ll demand to play. And Payton will listen.

I noticed the same thing but I thought they’d lost a bet or something. ???????
re: Do people really think that Taysom should start over TB??

I don’t care who they play at QB. The offense had too many penalties and too many dropped balls. It would have been difficult for most average QBs on Sunday.
It’s not fair to say he did nothing. Bridgewater did have a few good plays to go with the mostly poor performance. Had to go look it up but check out his pass to Cook (who actually caught it), 2nd quarter, 3rd and 7 at the Rams 45 or so. Damn good throw and Cook was only slightly open. I remember thinking we needed more like that. I think he’s serviceable, but the team really has to help him.

Dear Lord....

Look, Brees was average toward the end of last season, blame it on age or an undisclosed injury but his production dropped and interceptions increased. Maybe this gives him a few weeks of rest to last through the remaining season, whenever he comes back. Helps him be fresh for the playoffs. Did you watch Tampa and Carolina Thursday? They are dumpster fires. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but I think we got this.

Heard him say the same thing over the summer at an event for his flag football league.

You serious, Clark?

I’d like to see Teddy play in a series in this offense before we start looking for college QBs with no NFL experience.
re: Crawley to Bench; PJ Williams to Start
Posted by BeastsofTheBayou on 9/22/18 at 9:42 am to Chad504boy
What I’ve seen over the last two games is our DBs really struggling to locate the football while it’s in the air. So if PJ can just get his head around while in coverage, it’s an upgrade.
re: Drew Brees passing yards record watch

Bad post. I get your oringinal point that the saints are 1-1 and very easily could be 0-2. They still look bad in many respects of the game. But Peyton Manning is the antithesis of a loser. Two SB wins and is regarded by some (most?) as the greatest.
And the records he is chasing will legitimize Brees’ legacy as one of the greats as well. At this point because Payton can’t seem to put a decent defense together for consecutive years, it’s the only thing Brees has control over and so why the hell not?

Browns haven’t won a game since Christmas Eve 2016 against the Chargers...please God don’t let that streak end.

Good news. Maybe Sean and the rest of the FO actually do know what they’re doing. Probably why they make more than all of us combined.

I really liked Kikaha, thought he’d be a good pass rusher.

re: Anybody Worried About CSP Abandoning the Running Game Early This Season
Posted by BeastsofTheBayou on 7/13/18 at 12:37 pm to King George
If our O line stays healthy (which I fully expect) I’m not too concerned about abandoning the run too early. AK and the other guys will have enough running room to stick with it.

You're assuming that there is this abundance of great players that aren't knuckleheads. If I recall, many of the top talent in this year's and last year's draft had question marks, either injury or character related. I think finding high character/high talent is the exception, not the rule.

I forgot about John Fourcade. He spoke at my Toy Bowl banquet when I was like 10. I remember I was in awe. Can only imagine what 10 year olds think about Brees.
