to say that our TE development was garbage is ignorant.
how about dead last in the SEC in TE put into the NFL? LAST. The only position group at LSU to not produce a pro.
Case in point, Dillon Gordon. He played TE for us and has now been an NFL OL the past 2 years
...
two position groups fight for the worst at LSU. Who's worse? the quarterbacks or the tight ends? Both have been atrocious over the past 10 years. any of that Ensminger's fault?...
how is that Ensminger's fault?
uh, because he's an offensive coach.
Underperforming is not the same thing as underutilized. Our TEs have blocked well and done well when their number was called to catch a pass
Our TE production and player development has been G...

All of those have demonstrated success and proficiency in their specialty and unit and have been recruited by other programs because of it. LSU's TEs have been underperforming, LSU's offense has been historically bad despite generational talent at RB. There is literally NOTHING that points to ...
Is it your opinion that he has no knowledge of college offenses since 1992?
No knowledge? Is that the standard we want here? Is he optimal to coach QBs in 2018 at a major college football program? Is he the top half of QBs coaches?
has coached QBs as recently as 200...

Which they were allowed to do because they were considered to be superior alternatives to Steve Ensminger. I'm pulling for him, but there is no other major CFB program which would bet on him to be their OC or QBs coach. None. Ed Orgeron in the only human being on earth making that decision. ...

Nobody said he can't produce a QB at LSU. that's an opinion. It's a fact that he hasnt produced an QB at LSU. Why do people go about attempting to proclaim him as an expert QB coach? Either one of these two things must be true: 1.He has been coaching QBs (also TEs) at LSU and they have su...

Except Ensminger has been the QB coach for LSU. Also, the poster cited a quarterback from 1992 as evidence that he can coach quarterbacks in 2018. ...
Dude, Ensminger was a QB and has coached QB's like Eric Zeir of Georgia, and will be the QB coach at LSU.
What QBs have we developed in Ensminger's 7 year tenure at LSU? You're citing a QB that played in the early 90's...
Probably Bryce Harris, who has been signed by the team and released twice already this year.

Update: The Saints filled his vacated roster spot by re-signing offensive tackle Bryce Harris.
[link=(http://saintswire.usatoday.com/2018/01/10/new-orleans-saints-vs-carol...
I mean, who are you going to pick up this time of year?
Probably Bryce Harris, who has been signed by the team and released twice already this year. ...
so which LSU basketball player was it?...
Outside of suspension, when a player is under contract they are paid their entire contract.
being on the non-football injury list is different.
If they were to cut him, he would count $9M against the cap.
I think it would go to arbitration under the CBA. Repor...
Team docs work for the team. 100% chance he fails his physical. I'd say 95% there is some cap relief and a 100% chance it goes to arbitration. ...
Fairley will be placed in the Non-Football Injury list and will presumably fail his team physical. At that point, I think the CBA can put the issue into arbitration. The saints will get some cap relief from the guaranteed portion. ...
there will always be UDFA level talent, and better, on the waiver wire come cuts... ...
I'd explain why this doesn't equate, but won't.
Antonio Pittman is certainly the exception and I highly doubt the situation would be repeated, but there is the precedent. Draft picks still have to produce in camp and the preseason, unless they're 1's or 2's. ...
Kamara: Roster lock. You don't rate a guy this high to add a new draft pick and cut him.
Antonio Pittman says hi!...
no way to know months ago who would be available on the draft board. maybe preliminary talks, but Loomis taking Watson was still more than a minimal possibility. ...
