Dumpling Hour (previous Serop's Corporate location)

Dumplings and Asian Fusion. Menu looks interesting, and as someone who lives in the area and was never going to drag out to Dumpling and Bao, I'm kinda excited. Anyone been yet (soft opening was yesterday)? Or been to the Lafayette/Youngsville locations?

Yes, I went yesterday and everything was great!
I had the Pork Xiao Long Bao, the Pan Fried Pork Buns, and the Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. All house-made and all delicious! A little pricey, but what isn't nowadays? These were each $11.95 or $12.95.
There were a LOT of things on the menu that I'd like to try.
Service was good, especially on Day 1 and a soft-opening. I'll be back, since, like you said, Dumpling and Bao is so far away from me.

I live out in Youngsville, and Dumpling Hour is in our eating out rotation for sure.

I've been to the Lafayette location several times. Vegetable portions are generally larger than dumpling portions, so it can be better to go with family or friends and order family style.

Wife and I went yesterday and it was pretty good. Pan fried gyoza and pan fried bao were very good. Pepper steak was good but way more bell pepper pieces than steak. Soup dumplings came out broken on the bottom with all the soup drained out. Talked to manager and took them off the bill and apologized. We enjoyed it and will probably be back again to try other things. Place is not serving alcohol right now just a heads up. Only can drinks and bubble tea. Think they are working kinks out and getting feet under them.

It's no Din Tai Fung but still pretty good
