Would like to find a trapper to trap at our lease in Magee MS. We have a super healthy population of Yotes Bobcats and raccoons. I know it is a dying trade and pretty much no money in it this far south but would think there is still an old timer or two still running lines around.

My grandparents lived in Magee their entire lives. My papa used to trap on Goodwater creek behind where the Exxon is or used to be. Most of the old timers that used to do that are gone. Check the Mississippi Market Bulletin for trappers.

Check the market bulletin or a forum called bullnettlenews. They used to have a trapping sub on there. Guy in Laurel went by Trapper John. Used to deliver all the animals to the fair. Have no idea how you would get in touch with him though.

Appreciate it. I just got a quote of 500 a month to trap. There must be more demand than I thought

Depending on distance he has to travel and size of the property that may be really cheap.

Raccoons are easy to trap. Marshmallows are great bait. Get a few cage traps at hardware store. I am a landlord in New Orleans. I have caught 10 so far over the past 3 months. Must relocate at least 15 miles away or they will come right back.

Yea coons are not the main concern, it's the damn huge packs of yotes running around.
