MSU has no pitching left, check out the ERAs. The last week or two the bulldogs have been swinging it pretty good. Tigers 14 MSU 8.
It's midweek baseball. NSU is playing against the flagship and going all out. It's the Demons night to play the big boys. They have a solid program and split with Tulane early in the year. No, Tulane isn't going to the CWS, but they aren't terrible. Obviously there are frustrated fans, but understand a little about D-1 baseball and playing 50plus games a year.

West is tough. MS State, with probably the least talent in SEC Baseball, beat SC in game one and is ahead 4-0 in the second.
I think you are missing the point, three home games in five years and two games in the recruiting talent rich Houston area. The matchup looks smart to me.

I guess we can bump for that or we can look at a couple of things. Peveto and Mallory aren't terrible and did a great job of game planning and the players executed. Second, the offense got things going and never put the defense behind the eight ball, something that was common all season long. Let's say good luck to the two departing defensive coaches. They certainly never were as bad as they were accused as being. Chavis is going to take this group with the added experience gained this season and take them back to one of the top units in the SEC.

Couple of restricted earnings type guys, one on defense (Drago) and one on offense (Farrell). Maybe a GA or two could go looking for something full time. Good luck to all.

It's not much of a poll if it doesn't give the voters the opportunity to vote for other side of the spectrum (i.e. "You disliked the hire and NSU could have done better")
------------------------------------------------

NSU operates at a little different level than LSU if you haven't noticed. They use that poll to generate support. They are publicing the Peveto hire because it is a great hire for NSU. If you weren't a one track a-hole, you may have picked up on that. Go for it Demons!

Come on Tiger in Atlanta, do you really think Pev forgot how to coach after having 20 years of success or that he was fully responsible for the demise of the defense this year?
The job at NW is between Preveto & another coach.
-------------------------------------------------

Yeah, I guess that would be a pretty safe bet. If it isn't Peveto, it will be another coach.
All indication I have gathered point to it coming down between Peveto and Dennis Dunn.

Dunn isn't in the top five. It is the Head Coach at Abilene Christian (Thomson), DC at Arkansas State who is a former NSU DC(Corless), Head Coach at MGCCC (Campbell, former Miami and Ole Miss OC(Werner)and BDP.

actually Georgia State

I'm not the defensive expert that truely many on here are, but I see a release of Mallory and BDP staying on as an assistant/recruiting coordinator. The guy has a way with the prospects and is so valuable in that area. Despite what many on here say, he isn't a bad football coach either, just not a DC.
Yes, Craig always rose to the occasion......sorry

Had a great career at NLU, passing for 23 tds and over 4300 yards in two seasons. Lead the Indians to a 1-AA National Title. Drafted by Washington, later lead San Diego to a Super Bowl. Most folks know all that, but what is new is that he is the AD and head girl's basketball coach at St. Mary's High School in Natchitoches.

He is a huge fan that has dedicated a large portion of his life to following and giving his views on LSU Athletics to the world via the internet. He reports from the gut and I feel that is his greatest shortcoming. DD makes like he is a serious reporter and he is just a fantasic fan that is willing to put hours and hours each day towards his love of LSU sports. Of everything he brings to the table, I think his preseason game by game breakdown is the least valuable. I understand breaking down pre-conference games and a SEC outlook, I just think breaking down the finer points of the LSU-Bama game in July cannot be done very well. Keep up the go work and do that thing you do DD!
