Earlier this week, Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt offered his thoughts on Texas QB Arch Manning’s situation...
quote:

“Even with his games that he was able to start and play in early last year, it didn’t really translate to him being comfortable,” Klatt said, via On3. “I do think facing a defense as difficult to face as Ohio State in Week 1 did not do him a lot of good. But he’s clearly not comfortable, so here’s what I see.

“When young quarterbacks and the speed of the game around him is almost too fast, they do one of two things. They either speed themselves up so fast where they’re ahead of the timing of the offense or they’re so slow that they’re behind the timing of the offense.”

I would prefer to hear Peytons comments about his nephew. Nothing against Klatt. Just not my go to for QB problems.

Maybe he's had people like Joel Klatt up his arse at all times for the past six years, and the talent level and outside pressure and expectations to meet and all the money shite? Maybe this is having an effect on a 19 year old now?

Or, maybe it's the name only and he is not as good as people think he is.

He wasn't good in HS. What made think he'd translate to the next level? Anyone who watched him in HS knew his hype was name only. Guess we see why LSU didn't fight to try to keep him here if Texas wanted to overpay lol.

I have said it more than once 1 and 3 vs The Comets in HS. I do realize that St Charles was good 3 of those 4 with 1 title. But Arch did not look good in any of those games.

Limited talent combined with poor coaching.

He sucks because he can't hit the side of a fricking barn. Timing? He stands there for several seconds, plenty of time, full wind-up and footwork, and throws the ball at his receiver's feet. Unless it's Wingo, in which case the ball is dropped.

On the bright side, he's easily the best looking Manning, but that's not a high bar.

I’m typically more suspicious of the guys in the room that need everyone to know they’re definitely not gay.
