Will Muschamp Had To Be Restrained From The Refs During Florida Game
Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
That temper of Will Muschamp, I tell ya. On Saturday, the Gamecocks head coach blew a gasket after a South Carolina interception was overturned due to a penalty call and had to e restrained from going after the refs...

They went on to lose to the Gators 38-27.

I dont blame him. The SEC refs screwed us at A&M last year. I fully expect them to screw us at Bama in a couple of weeks.

There are 2-3 SEC crews that are simply either bias to certain schools or so bad they need replaced.

The same issues are faced in B1G. It seems there is no Process Improvement in any conference. There should be performance review and accountability for these crews. Sadly it appears there is none whatsoever.

Agreed

What's truly sad is that Birmingham will defend the no-call and mediocre officiating will remain the norm in the SEC.

Muschamp could see the bad calls from the sidelines far away but refs right there are blind? I'm not buying an incompetence defense.

Steve Shaw is the coordinator of officiating for the SEC. The incompetence goes all the way to the top.

The Gamecocks got screwed. The refs can't be that incompetent. SEC corruption is real.

Yea did you see the Florida TD were the blocker WR held the SC players uniform for 30 yards! Ridiculous!

This was after the no-call false start and the 40-yard hold on another UF touchdown that tied the game.

Man, can you imagine how he’d have been as the Tennessee coach last night?

Those baws must have had money bet on that game. They made enough bad calls and no calls to equal an LSU game.

Anyone who watched that game would be on Muschamp’s side. The officiating was atrocious. It’s even fair to say that officiating gave UF that win. Having watched the entire game, I did not come away with the impression that UF was 11 Points better than USC.

We need to nationalize ref crews. No more SEC or ACC. Just a team of refs that rotates without conference affiliation.

NFL refs suck too

No fan of Boom as a HC but would hire him as a DC any day but he is 100% correct. They hosed they on every single call

Same, if Aranda were to ever leave and Boom got fired, id love to have him back as a Defensive Coordinator.

They do what they are told to do it’s really that simple

The level of officiating in college and NFL has declined so egregiously it's literally horrifying. And not all of these 'no calls' are missed, these refs just ignore some calls, for whatever reason. I mean in the NFC champ game last season 2 refs saw perfectly the interference by the Rams DB and one started to pull his flag and the other ref waved him off. You cannot convince me these refs are not putting money on games. The FBI should investigate officiating!!!

No, the official FBI needs to be investigated.

Every OC in America should run that play from 7 yards out to the goal line. The refs never call it and it is completely indefensible. I'd call it every time until my team was flagged.

Well, in this instance he was right.

There should be an immediate doubling of SEC ref's; so that an every Monday Skype meeting of coaches could fire the truly worthless before the day is done with a simple majority vote. It wouldn't take long before the meeting was 30 minutes of howdy's and see you again next week.

The problem is nothing will be done about the terrible officiating, and nobody will be held accountable moving forward. Those refs have no business calling another game again.

The South Americans have, on occasion, demonstrated a pretty effective solution to bad refereeing...

They'll be back, refereeing the LSU/Bama game, Shaw has given them instruction ($$)
