South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp announced Tuesday that Skai Moore will miss the 2016 season after he has surgery on a herniated disk. Per TheState.com:

Moore, a 6-foot-2, 218-pound Cooper City, Fla., native, will have surgery Friday in Charlotte and will undergo a Level 1 fusion, Gamecocks head coach Will Muschamp announced Tuesday. The procedure requires Moore to avoid contact for six months but a full recovery is expected, Muschamp said.

“He’ll be fine. This is not a career-threatening situation,” Muschamp said. “This is a very common procedure for herniated disc. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t heal on its own.”

Skai is a great player who has been fun to watch. I wish him a full recovery.

Hoping for a speedy recovery. That's a huge loss for that defense, though.
