College sports is a shite show just like those with half a brain knew it would become when all this BS became legal.

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is the right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government, may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much territory as they inhabit.

Oh, you took my prior statement at face value? That was ill-considered.

Ole Dishonest Abe knew very well that the South had the constitutional right to secede. He needed to be hung for treason.

The MSM at the time knew it to. I put together an infographic of 15 or 20 of Northern newspaper headlines at the time that all said, of course they have the right to exit. Let em go and stop hassling em.

What’s wrong for complaining about being a part of something that penalizes Team A for doing the same thing Team B was allowed to do?

The SAME rules should be applied to all.

If they left the NCAA, it would sure mean less to me. These losers are trying to turn it into the equivalent of Minor League Baseball for short term monetary gain. They're going to kill the goose laying the golden eggs because there's no one looking after the long-term health of the sport.

And do what? Form another organization made up overwhelmingly of government institutions, beholden to federal law and at the mercy of self-serving TV money? How does leaving the NCAA to form essentially the same thing change ANYTHING???

no - but if we go down that road just make it a free market - the facade of bs oversight disappears and networks can do whatever they want - no one is beholden to federal right now because there is none - that's the problem - however I agree with Nick on this issue - the only people who don't see this model as unsustainable are immediately profiting from it - LSU included - the current framework sucks and is detrimental to players

Southern secession of your business that relies heavily on black labor? Seems legit…
