After Alabama beat Ole Miss 63-48 on Saturday night, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban suggested that Lane Kiffin and his staff may have been stealing signals, per The Spun...

After the game, Saban called Kiffin “a really good coach” but did wonder if his opponent had a little bit of an advantage in the form of knowing what the Crimson Tide were running defensively.

“It seemed like everything we did, though, they had an answer for,” Saban said, via AL.com. “I don’t know if they had our signals or what. I’m not — that’s not anything unusual. But it seemed like every time we called something, they had the best play they could have against it.”
Kiffin then responded to those comments...

I don't think Saban meant literally he thought they were doing it. I took it as a compliment towards how prepared and well the Ole Miss offense was doing things. You can see in his quote he started to clarify that.

OM only stopped them a couple of times, so does it matter?

Once really. The fumble shouldn't have been a fumble due to forward progress IMO. Happened quickly so can't complain too much, but whistle should have been blown a tiny bit sooner.

I hope we know everything the gumps are going to do on defense and offense. Not sure it helps this year or not, but I'd take any advantage to their arse.

They could send us a script of their offensive plays and 2 weeks to prepare, this defense would not stop them.

So, in the time since Kiffin was at Bama they haven't changed their signals and didn't make a change going against him?

This is the problem most people including reasonable Bama fans have with this idea.

Did Bama even have time to “signal” anything?

Wait, does this mean it's okay to steal signals in football but not baseball?
