Where to stay in Atlanta for SEC championship?

Need a good place to stay.
Tenn fans need not recommend anything, we all know you haven't been there recently.

For games at the Benz we always stay at the Embassy Suites Centennial Park. Walkable to stadium, downtown attractions etc. I booked 2 nights before the Bama game ended. Probably sold out by now.

Embassy Suites, Doubletree, Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn and Home2Suites around the stadium all have rooms available

Most things downtown are booked or really expensive right now. Figured with UGA homes would be plentiful. Should I stay in midtown or buckhead? Grand Hyatt looks good and it only a block or two from the Marta

I'm staying at the airport because I have an early flight out Sunday morning. Normally stay downtown in walking distance to stadium or in Buckhead though.

Marriott Marquis is the only answer. All the celebs will be there, awesome huge bar scene.

We always stay at the Renaissance in Midtown. It is always much cheaper than other options and they have a full service restaurant on site. Easy walk to Midtown bars and also easy to get to the MARTA station that takes you downtown or to the airport. I also saw last night that AC Hotel in Midtown has good rates. Great option if you just want a clean hotel with no frills to rest your head.
