Fire tablet for movies, books, music.
Ear plugs - can go under the noise cancelling headphones for sleep time.
Tooth brush/tooth paste for long trips.
Window seat - I still like seeing what's below.

My kindle, a sweatshirt, Flonase and sinus meds and a pair of slides/easy off shoes. I have those things and I’m good to go anywhere in the world

Good, long podcasts - like the "Blueprint for Armageddon" series or anything by Dan Carlin.

Pretty low maintenance here. Just a book, over the ear headphones, bottled water, maybe a snack of some nuts or something, tablet with some downloaded shows/movies, and I'm good.

I nearly shite myself on a flight out of Amsterdam once after getting wasted at the bar before the flight. God that was not fun

Frequent flyer here and the ONLY essential I have is noise canceling headphones for domestic flights. Everything else is lagniappe, but usually a pain in the arse to carry.

I'm about to get on an 11 hour flight and made sure I had:
noise-reducing headphones
USB charger
sweater
comfortable socks
tablet with some magazines to read

Granted, i'm flying business class, so don't have to worry about slippers, toothbrush/toothpaste, water, snacks/food, etc.

I'm with you. Noise Cancelling headphones and the least possible other stuff I can get away with.

Why is American so far behind the other airlines on streaming content/WiFi?

Why do they fly those shitty airbuses that have zero overhead space? They had to counter check 50 carryon bags on my flight yesterday. Boarding took twice as long as Delta or United

ETA: also no chargers on them
