Water Parks in the houston area for kids?

We are going to take the kids on a quick trip over the weekend. I figure everything will be crowded, so which water park near Houston is the best for kids in the 8-12 year old range? If I'm missing some, please let me know. We will likely go for 3 nights so we can have 2 days in the park.
Schlitterbahn galveston - Seems to be the best park, but not sure if there is anything else to do around there.
Hurricane Harbor in Spring (Six Flags) - Being near the woodlands is a plus. Other things to do in the area.
Typhoon Texas - looks to be geared to slightly younger kids

Ghetto. It's in Katy, which compared to Galveston and the Woodlands, only has typical suburb stuff to do.

the beach (I know, its Galveston) and Moody Gardens.
but you're going to have alot of "culture" in Galveston during a holiday weekend.
Spring/Woodlands may be your choice. Or you bite the bullet and go all the way to New Braunfels for the original Schlitterbahn. Good Luck and bring your patience wherever you choose.

We've had season passes to Hurricane Harbor Splashtown for several years. My teenagers really enjoy it.

Margaritaville in Conroe is an option, and you can rent boats. DoorDash and UberEats to the hotel is easy. Also, there's a dock at the McDonalds nearby that you can place a mobile order at, and have them bring your chow directly to the boat.

Marriott Marquis Downtown Houston has a lazy river in the shape of Texas. I believe they offer day passes to their pool areas.
