I'm right next to Ft Meade this week and have a free day tomorrow (Saturday). Any fun stuff to do in the DC to Baltimore corridor?

Not looking for food - but things to do. Been to the Smithsonian a number of times. Not necessarily looking for the usual touristy things.

Suggestions?

Thinking about going to Annapolis.

Yeah, I already thought about finding a good protest and heckling... It's on the short list...

The spy museum was neat. Udvar Hazy is cool too.

Annapolis is nice. There is a good walking tour of the naval academy you can take.

Looks like a decent day here so Annapolis is a good choice.

Baltimore has a lot of cool things - Ft. McHenry, inner harbor area, Babe Ruth house/museum, B&O Railroad museum.

Ft McHenry is pretty cool. You're also less than two hours from Antietam, Gettysburg and Manassas battlefields. If you've never been to Gettysburg, I highly recommend it. You can also tour the Naval Academy in Annapolis, which is a great tour. Easton/St Michael are two cool towns on the Eastern shore, an hour to an hour and a half from Ft Meade.

I don't recommend going to the CIA museum, getting incorrect directions from a guard, and end up at a check point where a couple weeks before someone had ran it and they shot up the car

Go to the Horse You Came In on bar in Fel’s Point. Fel’s Point is a great area and that’s the bar where Edgar Allan Poe took his last drink.

1. Find a classic diner
2. Eat Scrapple
3. Profit.
