Wales Hiking Torture Tour

I'm considering a few destinations for this year (summer/fall), Ireland, Wales, or Istanbul/Albania/etc. Going further east than the UK gets a wee bit spendy ($900 vs $1300) for coach.
I'm considering a torture tour of the Brecon Beacons because of the fifth freedom flight from IAH to MAN on Singapore (50% empty last time I took it.) I want the suck fest of Dragon's Back, the Brecon Beacons Horseshoe, and the Fan Brycheiniog Loop, which I think would take 2.5 days once on site. Is there anything I'm missing that sucks worse that I should explore to hike?
I plan to do a grand tour of MAN and LPL pubs afterwards if I go that route, unless I can schedule around a metal concert in the area.
I'm willing to go after the suck in Ireland too, but the ROI always seemed relatively flat as I drove/walked around it. I can do both, but I also don't need a vomit ferry between LPL and DUB (worse than flying with obnoxiously drunk Englishmen for 30m? Don't know.) The big "hills" in ROI were fogged in every May I went, and it doesn't seem there are as many circular trails which can get you back to your car in a day or two.
I want to drive up the spine up Eastern Europe a la Grand Tour, but I don't think that's happening this year, which is why I think IST/Albania is on the back burner.

Friend,
What makes the tour torture? A good walk in the UK is anything but torture. If you are looking for a more beautiful hike, might I suggest the West Highland Way? Back in my uni days I managed to do it one way and back, I think nearly 200 miles, in a week. These days I’d take it slower, but it is a wonderful hike.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Brecon Beacons is so beautiful. Our Welsh friends took us on an all-day hike there. Challenging.

I have a problem with not being able to relax. It's a mission. I use the word torture to describe how others would describe how I hike.
That looks like an interesting route, I'll do more research on it, thanks.

I think Singapore plans to end the IAH-MAN service so may want to confirm as you plan for your trip.

You should look at the GR20 on Corsica one day. It's considered Europe's toughest trek and the island is breathtalkingly beautiful.

I've never been to this part of Wales but The Pembrokeshire Coast Path that carves around the rugged coastline looks cool. Some cool little towns you could use as a base, like St. Davids (which has a great Cathedral).
There's also some good hikes in Snowdonia.

I've spent some time along this coastline hiking, kayaking, etc., and it's amazing.

Mt Snowdon is a great 5 mile hike up, and if you continue on there are beautiful lakes and fewer hikers.

If you’ve never been before, I’d give N. Wales the nod over the Brecons. Snowdonia is higher elevation and feels grander. You’re very close to Anglesey and could take the ferry to Dublin if you’re so inclined.
