Going with the wife and another couple to see Shania in June, none of us are real big gamblers but will play around a little bit. Money being no object what are some of the best restaurants Vegas has to offer? Bazzaar is already on the list for steak. Any other recommendations are appreciated.

Besides the food what are some must do’s besides gambling?

Edit: Also any hotels with good swim up bars, etc to do during the day for a nice buzz.

Thanks in advance.

I just spent Thanksgiving in Vegas. As a foodie I had a high expectations on buffets. To me, Bacchanal buffet was overpriced with mediocre food. Wicked Spoon was a little bit better but not worth coming back for.

Bacchanal 2* out of 5
Wicked Spoon 3* out of 5
Lago Italian 3* out of 5 but great view of the fountain
Gordon Ramsay Burger 3* out of 5
Estiatorio Milos 4.5* out of 5. Upscale Greek seafood restaurant. Best food experience I had in Vegas. Lunch 3 course meal for $30 was an unreal deal considering high food cost in Vegas.

The Stratosphere is pretty unique. The food was pretty good, but pricey for what you get. You're paying mainly for the view

Lotus of Siam is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. It's off the strip so you can take a break from all the madness. Make a reservation now though.

Besides what’s already been listed, for breakfast or brunch Mon Ami Gabi was fantastic. Went back that evening and had patio table with an outstanding view of the water show at Bellagio.

The best value in a meal on the strip that I had was Ja Burrito. It’s a Vegas area fast casual chain specializing in sushi burritos. There’s a location in the LINQ promenade next to the Flamingo. I had one for 12 or 13 bucks and was hooked. Ate there at least two more times before flying home. Filling, satisfying, fast, and delicious. If they opened in Baton Rouge, they would make a mint.

Circus Circus steak house has won the best steakhouse 3 of the last 5 years. Mafia hangout in the 60's with a cool bar.
Steak was outstanding.

It’s on par with a Morton’s or Fleming’s. It’s a good value and has an old school vibe, but you have to go to circus circus, which is an absolute dump and not walkable from the main hotels on the strip.

Raos inside of Caesars Palace was incredible. Pricey but great food. Went to Gordon Ramsey Steak inside of the Paris on my last trip and it was meh. The service was excellent but the food left a lot to be desired, especially with the price tag that came with it.
