Vail hotel recommendations for mid Oct?

Wife (no pics) and I are getting away for a long weekend in mid Oct. We bought dirt cheap RT tickets MSY to DEN. Plan to spend 3 nights in Vail just sightseeing and relaxing.
Don't mind upgrading hotel since flights were such a good deal. Wife would prefer a spa in the hotel. Only drove thru Vail Village once, never stayed there.
TIA

We stayed at Sonnenalp in Vail in July and loved it. I think it would be perfect for what you are looking for.

That's the place we were looking at last night. Seems like more and more is opening up around there.
Appreciate the info.

I stayed at The Lodge at Vail. It dates back to the beginning of Vail, but all of the rooms were totally renovated. I really liked it. It also had Elways Steakhouse in the Lodge. It was moderately priced and a very good value in my opinion.

Go to The Ritz in the afternoon in the village and have drinks outside on the balcony by the fire pits. Beautiful views. The hot chocoholic is amazing too.

You can rent really nice condos at the Ritz. Highly recommend

Not all the rooms at the Lodge are renovated, but it is a pretty nice place with a great location and staff.
Just a heads up, a lot of restaurants are closed in Vail at the end of October.

Four Seasons & Tivoli Lodge are very nice, we have stayed at both a few times

Ritz, great atmosphere/views.

FYI OP, The Ritz and Four Seasons at Vail are about $600 a night. They price everything else accordingly since they figure if you don't mind the $600 a night rate then you surely don't mind paying $28 for a knob creek old fashioned and so on.
Aspens are turning now so unless you are going this weekend you will miss em.

I really like the Arrabelle. We haven’t stayed anywhere else in Vail but mostly because we like it so much. We used to fly in and out of Eagle County airport, but now we drive in from Boulder. The Arrabelle offers a car service for free if you need to go somewhere out of walking distance.

The Lodge are Vail or Arrabelle, enjoyed both.
