It's right on the Florida side of the state line, east bound on I10. I didn't pass it until I was coming back, but it looks like they converted a weigh station right there to a checkpoint.

I'm headed to Destin tomorrow morning. Any advice on taking interstate or go through OB to avoid check point?

Get off at the Bucee's exit in AL, take Hwy 90 into FL and get back on I-10 on the FL side.

There is a four mile long vehicle checkpoint line on I-10 going into FL from AL right now.

There is a place named Red Fish or something like that that is very good. A half a mile or so east of the main area.

Most rental agencies are still refusing to rent to us. If you find a private owner who is willing to look the other way, all will be fine

We got back from Gulf Shores today. It was so wonderful to be out on the beach. The weather ended up being great all week.
There was absolutely no signs of virus or protest bullshite (I didn't even know about the protest/riot shite until I got home today.)
The beach was bustling, but not overcrowded.
Rouses was better stocked than my local store in Mandeville, and there were maybe 10 other people in there when I went.
We're heading back in 2 weeks and I can't wait.
