We obviously haven't been yet, but Sands at Grace bay had relatively good rates and ratings for being on Grace Bay.

Thanks. Yep I just read some reviews on Trip Advisor. Obviously they are not perfect but nobody is.

One more thing, I priced several different spots and Expedia's bundle pricing was impossible for me to beat, anywhere.

We booked seven nights there and and got 6th and 7th night's "free". of course after resort fees, it's really one night free. But it's better than nothing.

I read the reviews on the pinned thread. Really good info. Does anyone have a recommendation for the best dive shop? We will be doing mostly diving. Also has anyone played the golf course there recently?

Enjoy. Fish Fry on Thursday night is fun. Local food and entertainment. Just walk down Grace Bay Beach towards the loud music.

Dive Provo is downtown. Don't know if it's the best though.

Been to beaches t&c multiple times, and it's really the vacation of a lifetime.

The Gansevoort was a great honeymoon hotel for us. Small and mostly couples with a very chic, Miami-type vibe to the place. It's the last resort at the end of Grace bay on the biggest part of the beach so it was nice and private.

It's very nice as is pretty much every hotel/resort on Grace Bay Beach. The only one I'd avoid is Beaches but I'm older and my kids are grown so I have no desire to be around that many kids.

Somerset and Regent Grand are really nice but $$$$$. At least Regent Grand is. Somerset is about the same price as Gansevoort.

We are going to the Sands at Grace Bay in T&C first week of November.
We're looking at going first weekend in November as well.
Just looking at flights right now.

Going to start researching places to stay soon. But thinking 11/3 - 11/7. Will likely do some diving.

I have been all over the Caribbean and to Asia on dive trips and I think the Turks were the nicest beaches and water anywhere.

7 Mile Beach is really nice but I prefer Grace Bay Beach. That turqoise water seems to go on forever. It also goes out very far on the TCI islands. Look at an overview and you'll see what I mean. It's quite shallow very far out with no seaweed.

Bump...looks like there is a very good chance they are going to suffer significant damage. I will call the hotel after it passes and see what shape they are in. If anyone else hears anything, please post it here.

Hotels are able to be cancelled for full refund. Flights aren't. It's too late for insurance. I just tried.
But the airlines will let you cancel the flights for $200/person fee. Which will at least let you get some of it back.

But we have until about a week before our trip to do it. So, we're going to wait and see. Hopefully we can still go. It's almost 2 months from now. So, there's hope.
