What do you want covered? Its very specific. You can't just get it to cover "covid" for example, it will likely only cover you if you are actually in the hospital the dates of your trip.

Travel insurance has very specific triggers to pay out in other words.

That would be cool if someone offered that. Head down to the Caribbean and “catch Covid”. Then have insurance cover 2-3 weeks on the beach.

The mandatory insurance they make you buy at the airport in Aruba covers two weeks of room payments (up to $100 a night) but they make you stay in your room.

I wish it worked like you say, got COVID? Enjoy the beach and bar.

You had to purchase it at airport? Not ahead of time? Went back on September and had to prepay $10 a day before I got clearance to fly. Along with a few other things I need to complete

if this is for the event you catch COVID right before your trip, I did similar research and I don't think the coverage exists.

We purchased some for a trip last fall. Went through Pearson’s travel in Baton Rouge. Had to rent car and fly out of Houston instead of NOLA last minute because of Hurricane Zeta. Insurance reimbursed us for additional expenses related to change. Was nice!!

You should be able to get it if you were hospitalized. So I'm not sure if you caught it if you could BS that? Your medical bills would probably be more than your trip...But there's no Covid travel insurance you are correct, but travel insurance covers your trip if you are hospitalized and can't go on the trip no matter what the reason is.
