Travel Backpack for daily use

Do any of y’all have a travel backpack that you really like for when you are out and about adventuring? Not like a backpack for backpacking through Europe- just one to use when out and about exploring a destination.
I’d like something that doesn’t allow for pickpocket to rummage through while it’s on my back. (Few outside pockets).
Thanks

Osprey has a bunch of great options depending on what all you’ll be carrying around

Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21l.
I got their 3-Way Zip Briefcase as a Christmas present last year. Within 3 days I’d gotten the UA 21. The brand’s products-and the man who founded the company-are based around overengineered, nearly indestructible but somehow also incredibly functional designs.
In the last six months, I’ve gotten the 3-Way Zip for my office EDC. Then the UA 21 for a quick run to the hunting or fishing camp. I got their 40l Mission Duffel but it’s not what I need. Too big too carry on and too unstructured to check. I followed that up with their 40l Mission Wheelie two weeks ago for a trip I took for last week for work.
It is my new carryon.
I’m a bit of a brandwhore but looking at their products...once you get one...you’ll know.
All Cordura, all High Denier.
Seriously. Check it out.

I bought this Swissgear backpack 3 years ago and use it 3 or 4 times a week to carry swim gear to the pool as well as using it as a carryon. Its a solid pack that has held up really well.

GORUCK bullet or GR1 if you like something a little larger.

I second all of the osprey recs. Wife got me one for my birthday a few years back and I use it all of the time.

We use Eddie Bauer Stowaway 20L backpacks when travelling. They pack down small into our bags and we just pull them out when we leave the hotel. It's just enough to carry stuff you might need around town, a bottle of water and whatever you might buy. They reasonably well made for the price. I have bought several anywhere between $15 and $30, depending on when I caught them on sale on Amazon.
If you want something more heavy-duty, Osprey makes a great packable daypack, too.

I like Tumi for daybags. Depending on the style you choose, they're a bit more dressed up than your typical daypack....a bunch of the Tumi crossbody bags work really well for urban exploring that won't look out of place if you carry them into a fancy restaurant. Plus, quite a few are unisex/neutral looking....so my spouse can carry for a while, when I'm tired of schlepping the loaded bag.
