If you have an opportunity to see a Hurling match, as well, do it.

I get some people just want to go with the flow and don't like stuff planned on a micro level.

However there is something to be said for initial research, finding some things that are very important to you, looking up availability and reserving it if you need to.

Like if you visited San Fran and wanted to see Alcatraz, depending on time of the year you can't show up and have availability.

New York, to go to the top of the Statue of Liberty, tickets get booked months in advance.

There are plenty of more examples if you show up, you will just be denied entry for a complete lack of planning.

I'm old enough to remember traveling before the internet, cell phones and other modern technological advances were common.

Often times you got off the plane with an envelope full of travelers cheques, a rudimentary store bought guide book and a vague idea of what you wanted to do. From there it was an adventure of trying to find someone who spoke English and had some degree of empathy who could point you in the right direction.

Again you are saying if not your way it’s wrong. 8 billion ppl are not the same. I’ve booked locations , hotel, then winged it for days. Nothing planned or researched other than the flight, hotel. Had a blast. Had good food, seen the sites, etc.

If you're having too much fun to make the reservation, you have a device in your hand that can cancel it.
