This being the OT, I'll go ahead and share the most important local pro-tip for visiting SLC: They have Carl's Jr. instead of Hardee's, but it's the same thing just with a different name.

You're welcome.

Hard to get drunk or tie one on out there. Was pissed when I went to a brewery and all the beer was like 2% and you were limited, when you could get it out of state at its full percentage.

Also had to go to five different bars to get a buzz due to their liquor drink rule and their shot pouring devices.

Will say tho as crazy as they are about alcohol, some pretty obvious rub and tugs and Asian brothel joints right smack dab in the middle of Salt Lake City.

I say go for it. I have vacationed twice by myself. I had a great experience both times.
I met a cutie on my first one that ended up taking a few days off of work so she could show me around. She ended up staying with me 4 days all day and night.
I had lovely experiences on the second one also.

Beautiful place.
Had to go for a conference.
Very cold as it was snowing, but enjoyable walk if you bundle up.
Walked in the snow to see the Temple.
Streets are wide downtown, as something about old days and turning wagons.
Had a few Beer brewery places.

Very cool view at the airport as you can see the mountains with snow on them.

Utah sells beer over 2% 5% abv is their current cap, unless they have a liquor license.

Mormon Temple

For the OP, unfortunately the main temple is under renovation and so it is not as impressive on the outside as usual. It will take a few years. It normally is worth a walk through Temple Square.

If you’re looking for something to do and like to ski, you can definitely do it in March, on the days where your team isn’t playing.

And I’ve never skied in Utah, but it’s supposedly one of the best spots in the US.

Park City/Deer Valley is my favorite spot in US.

I consider SLC to be the best major metro in the US. It’s clean, people are friendly, amazing outdoors activities, good sports scene, food is way better than expected, and the economy there is great. I’d move tomorrow if I could. You really need to be an outdoors person to take full advantage.
