Southwest Airlines Companion Pass Promotion: Register by 6/27 - Valid 9/8-11/15

Figured that this may be of some use here.
Southwest Airlines is running another Companion Pass promotion that will cover most of football season though you need to act fast if you want to qualify.
To qualify for the promotional Companion Pass, first you must register for the promotion on the Southwest website before 6/27/2025. Existing flights booked before registration won't count. Second, book one roundtrip flight (or two one-way flights) by 6/27/2025 and complete travel by 8/31/2025. Once this is complete, a Companion Pass will be issued that is valid for travel between September 8th and November 15th.
Note that Basic fares (formerly Wanna Get Away fares) don't qualify for this promotion.

SW must really be hurting for summer sales if they're running this. I've only seen this in the off-season like fall/winter when travel generally dies down

I went back through my website and this is at least the third one they've done in the past year. People are pissed at them.
I'm taking my first flight with them since the new fares went into effect next week and I'm interested to see what it's like.

Flown 6 SW flights in June since new changes, didn't notice any differences, same old SW with all the good and bad, maybe slightly less pre-boards. And I already have companion pass so this doesn't help me.
Important to note this doesn't apply to the cheaper fares, gonna be some folks who book the wrong fare and don't get the pass.

Yep, that's why I explicitly called it out in my post and the article.
