Wife and I are going in May. Staying in downtown Sonoma and looking for insight on logistics, restaurant recs, winery recs, etc.

We’ll have 3 full days (the other two are travel). Looking at doing a bus/trolley tour one day, a private car another, and a day kicking around Sonoma sandwiched in between. The first day we might be able to Uber somewhere close but I’ve read not to rely on Uber/Lyft.

I’ve read through old threads but most are a couple years old so I was hoping someone has been there since then. Previous threads have mentioned Lassiter, Rams Gate, Christopher Creek, Ledson, and Skipstone Ranch. The wife wants to eat at “The Girl and The Fig” one night so I’m looking for 2 -3 other dinner spots.

Thanks in advance and I promise to update with pics and reviews once we get out there.

Eat at the restaurant at Westwood. Get the homemade mozzarella…you won’t be disappointed.
Wineries…JCB, Perliss, Ricci, Caldwell, John Anthony. There’s many but these are some of my favorites.

Kunde… awesome experience. Can’t remember one of the others ones that we did that was in a cave. But it was kinda cool going back into a cave

Girl and the fig is very good.

If you like sparkling or Pinot noir, iron horse is a gorgeous property that makes incredible wines.

Bacigalupi vineyards also a good one.

If you are staying in town, a must to visit is Winery sixteen 600. The Coturri family who run the vineyard and the tasting room (old non descript house in sonoma) are longtime friends of the grateful dead and have a really great tasting experience. You walk in and select some vinyl (wall to wall records) and then do their tasting. Really great Rhone blends. I'd highly recommend this stop for an in town experience.

Petroni vineyards: beautiful setting and great wines.

J Cage Cellars has a tasting Lounge at 834 McCelland Dr Windsor, Ca. They make some great wines...they're originally from Austin, Tx but have been making wine for 20 yrs out in Sonoma area.

They where in Lafayette, Baton Rouge(Callandros ordered a bunch of there wines) and New Orleans last week. I was at there tasting and ordered a case of Rose, Sauvignon blanc, and 2 cases of there Pinot Noir. These are great wines at good prices and they ship free to La with case purchase.

Bravas is a great tapas place in downtown Healdsburg...very highly rated for food and wine!

Bedrock has a tasting room on the Square. Excellent zins and old vine blends.

Scribe is close by and does a really nice tasting in a beautiful old home.

Hanzell is a short drive and is one of the Sonoma OG’s. Great tour and amazing views.

Haven’t been, but heard good things about Three Sticks.

It’s been a few years for us, but Benovia, Robert Young, and Medlock Ames were all fantastic.

Assuming you're going to hit up Napa as well.

We really enjoyed Hall, Peju, and Gundlach Bundschu

The Girl and the Fig is good, so is Bouchon out in Yountville.
